:::99loodisane::: 99 Base

This is a long time coming. The build started a couple of years ago but I've just been lazy about putting up a thread. About 3 and 1/2 years ago I bought my 1999 Honda Prelude Auto and the first year I kinda got the build going in the wrong direction, and the transmission crapped out on me. So I picked up an Accord Euro-R motor and trans for cheap. First I just swapped the trans over and kept the stock motor.

Ran strong for a couple years and I added K-Sport Coilovers to offer a better stance. Then the rings decided to die on me last year. So I swapped in the H22A7 for the A4 and added a Hondata S300 tuned by R/T Tuning to look over it all. ~210whp

I'm replacing the silver lugs with black ones and the new rotors are going on tomorrow, just waiting for the brake pads I ordered. Also relocating the battery to the trunk this weekend. There are also 2 body parts that will go on when the car is being painted imola orange pearl.

Update 08 APR 2012
I got the rotors and they feel so much better than stock. They look a lot better too.

Also mounted the front lip.

Update 05 MAY 2012
Just had my car tinted by Dynamic Tint. It's funny how much better the car looked with just tint. And I've dropped the car off to get the rear bumper mounted, a rust spot repaired, and a custom paint job.

(20% on the front windows / 5% on the rear windows)

Update 18 JUL 2012
I just got all the body work smoothed out and painted. I should have some new pics up soon. Also got all my bisimoto parts (header and camshafts) in and a trip to rt tuning to install and tune it is coming soon.

Update 17 AUG 2012
I didn't feel like fighting traffic at work so I hung around Philly til the sun went down and picked up the cam for some spur of the moment pics.

The headlights are really foggy. I've cleaned them up since these pictures.

And I finally cut off that fart cannon I idiotically mounted a couple years ago.

Update 18 AUG 2012
Finally mounted both ExplicitSpeed upper strut bars, I still have to mount the rear lower bar(I know its useless SO WHAT).

So one of my struts blew and I had to drive the car while I was waiting for the shipment from K-Sport. While creeping over a speed bump this happened. See the Prelude Gods have spoken. "GET RID OF THAT CRAP"

13 SEP 2012
I'm not happy with the look of the car and the color doesn't do it for me like I thought it would, and the work came out pretty crappy in spots. Just a huge waste of money. I'm going to try something this weekend to remedy that problem and to mount up the old bumper. I should have some new pics up soon.

29 SEP 2012

The car has been PlastiDipped white to cover up the orange I'm not happy with. I also added a Type-S side skirt and a JDM rear lip. Still need to take some new pics of all the work.

Looks real good. Will look a ton better with the stock rear bumper. Just save up for a new paint of something netrual like black or silver or something you like.

Thanks guys, once I get the pics up tonight you'll see how much better it does look with the stock bumper and normal color. And those numbers are at the wheels. I forgot to put the dyno sheet up.

Heres a copy of my dyno sheet. This is done with just bolt-ons, but the Euro-R motor does have a nice kick to it.

I finished putting the lip kit on this weekend. I just beat the sun going down so this isn't the best location but the shots still came out alright.

Yeah man, the car is coming out much better than I though. Just need a weekend to get the roof and mirrors painted black to accent the lip kit a little more. I keep forgetting to redo the badges as well. Not sure if i want to keep them normal and go black or red, or something a little different.

It's actually Plasti-Dipped and I had it done at XoticMotorWerks in Parkesburg, PA. Miguel and Marco did a great job and there was a fast turn around. The interior is pretty much stock besides the gauge cluster and a gauge pod and a head unit that's the reason there aren't any interior shots.

Looks like a Value sport replica rear and it's hard to tell what the sides are. You're actually only the 2nd person i've seen use the VS rep rear lip.

I've never seen sides with that odd curve, It has me curious, how are they mounted and any better pics?

The Type-S used the same paint matched sides as the SH (stock sides but paint matched)

You know more about the kit than I do. I just picked up the replica sides and replica rear off ebay and was surprised by how well it fit and looked.

The original pics have a much higher resolution, but they're to large to put up. The sides have screws in the wheel wells and there's tape run along the length of the body. The rear also has screws in the wheel wells and there are screws along the width. They shouldn't go anywhere.

Re: :::99loodisane::: 99 Base

I finally mounted the Bisi V2 header and added a little color by painting the intake. Valve cover needs a little TLC next along with new hoses and finally running the cable to put the battery in the trunk.

The downpipe really was a PITA. I had to notch the front cross-member a bit, but besides that everything fit together pretty well.

The orange was a trouble magnet and I got bored of it pretty quickly. The white is a much more fitting color. I need to eventually paint the jams and under the trunk lip white and get the accent colors added. Depending how i feel this weekend I may have something else done to the car.
