Really? i never knew!! thanks for the heads up
nah, i like those, but the clear corner lights kinda piss me off haha! the left one is broken where you screw it in and the right one had the clear lens just fall off during storage and now theres some glue in it so the bulb overheated and blew.
im either gonna replace the chrome ones with the oem black housing corner lights if i can find any or get the jdm black one piece off ebay. What do you think i should get?

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

Installed an audio jack.

Pretty much the cable just runs from the back of the head unit and down to the center and drilled a hole in one of the blanks.
The sound comes out really clear! actually better than the songs i have on my cd. Spotify does a great job with the high quality music
Will upload more pictures when i crack the center open again.

Ok so i finally got my hands on a set of used oem tail lights!!!
and they look pretty good for a set of used ones so im happy

Heres a before shot with the altezzas that were just falling apart. The red circles were actually loose and were gonna fall off and the fake carbon was fading/peeling off.
And just ignore the overbright

And after!!

Ohh, just imagine the accord lip on her!!

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

Nothing has changed since last time. But there are some cool things around the corner so until then, heres a picture

Question: Im thinking of plasti dipping my wheels because the chrome is beginning to look crap and i wont have enough to get a new set of wheels for a long time so im probably gonna go with gunmetal gray and either leave it matte or have a glossy finish. What do you guys think?

Went with matte black, i think they look good. i have to take one wheel off at a time due to me not having jack stands... or anything to cover the brakes with.

Also got a oem pair of some of those lights for $15 next to the front turning signals.. whatever they're called haha
Not sure how i feel about the new pair not having reflectors in them, but i had to change them anyway cos the one on the right side is corroded on the inside. Might pry it open and do something to it.

Before picture of the good side..

And after.

The turning signals are aftermarket which might explain why they dont look like they belong next to each other.

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

Ok so first off, i havent posted anything in ages!!!!!
So my exhaust is really loud now, and this is the reason why......

I also finally got around to getting myself an accord rear lip, side and front. So far ive only done the rear, cut up the sides and started to sand the front and get off the old, peeling rough paint it has on. I just love how the front is perfect fit!!
I followed a write up on the net. dont remember what one but yeah.

getting it to fit to size

Rear lip was done with plastidip.

aaannnd its on!!!!

I drilled the holes in the bumper and there was this one bit where the exhaust tip dip was so i got some washers so it would hold better. Red tow hook!!!!
sanded down with plastidip ^ sanded down with nothing v
here are the wheels complete with plastidip. This stuff is really great. Trust me i know. I even did my ps3 in it.

yeah i still have those wheels. only if i was rich enough to get a new set.

Havent cleaned the ps3 up yet.

I also got a new gear knob off ebay. And some 7000k led lights for the parkers and numberplate lights and 6500k led lights for the trunk and dome light.

Some random pictures??

this was on my farm, so the background isnt that great. for the top one anyway.

Very good lip install! I have front and rear, love how much of a cheap and good looking OEM mod it is. I'd love to see that write up...I looked everywhere, ended up just slapping the front lip on, clamping and drilling self tapping screws in. Did fit, then just trimmed off the excess parts sticking out the sides of the bumper.

Yeah!! Its gonna look so good with the front and sides on. I cant really figure out how I'm gonna do the front though since i cant find a good write up of it.. yet. I think i might just slap it over the oem one? Although a plastic welder would be nice to relocate the holding points.
It would be awesome to have a write up of the full lip kit. I might make one, If i remember to haha.
So the front is pretty much perfect fit other than having to make new holes and a little trimming?
I used the original screws that the lip was bolted up to the accord with.
I think it took me like 4hrs to size the rear up and put it on. plastdip dries up fast in summer.

I haven't gotten around to the front and sides lately. One day its too hot to step outside and the next its pissing down with rain. Australian weather I swear man

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

I laid the front bumper upside-down, mocked up the front lip to get it how I wanted then used clamps to hold it in place. Same deal as the rear. But you'll notice the ends of the lip will stick out past the bumper. You'll also have to fight with the lip to bend it to how the bumper is. Once you get it to how you like (i.e. happy with fitment) you'll need to drill self tapping screws in...that's the easy way at least if you don't care about your bumper.

Now for the part you have to decide is to keep or not to keep this part:

What I'm refering to is you'll see he taped off the corners of that one section to trim. I just put that section so it overlapped the front bumper where we have the lower grill for the radiator. Some people cut that section out for better fitment. From what I can tell it looks good, but I need to wait till I get the bumper back on and can look at it from different angles to judge.

Car's lookin great man!

Maybe this will help you with the front at least. WegZzz and I talked about it quite a bit while I was trying different things with it;

Got a 1994 Accord stock front lip installed (Lots of photos!)

Thanks man! Know any good threads on the sides?? :)

So I got my bumper off following a DIY on here. Now I'm in the process of adjusting the front lip so it will fit. I'll then take it off and sand the cracked paint then plasti-dip it.

After a month of having the plasti-dipped rear lip it's still looking good!
I'll need to redo the wheels soon though, all that tyre flex is rubbing it off.. I think I'll stick with black, since I cant really imagine it with any other colour haha.

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

Okay now, Another update on a few things.
I finally got it all cut to size, sanded, filled with bog, sanded a bit more and plasti-dipped. all i have to do now it wait for them to dry and ill put it back together tomorrow.. well, later today since its 3:30am.
I didn't cut off the end since it didn't really bother me with the poke. It probably will annoy me over time though..

Basically what I did was I bolted the corners on. Then i centered the middle as best as I could, marked and drilled a hole. I used a dremel to make the hole a bit bigger and bolted the middle on. Then I worked my way out from there drilling holes and grinding off plastic with a dremel. The corner bits required me to cut out slots for the nut/clip thing. I used a drill to mark it, because there's already a mounting point on the actual lip and I used the hole to mark it. So after that I then used a dremel to grind some plastic off so I could slide the nut/clip thing in. There were 4 different places I had to do this to. Then I unscrewed the side bolts out and used the dremel to grind off what I needed to then put everything back together and adjusted it more from there.

I also resprayed my center caps because if you spray something while heavily intoxicated like I did, it probably most likely will turn out crap. Two had grass under the plasti-dip.

I love this stuff!!

I just realized i still haven't put up a picture of my engine although a F22A isn't anything special but here you go.
Dont say anything. I know, its caked under a layer of dirt and grime. I need to get off my lazy ass and clean it.

The cleanest part of it is probably the air filter box.

And a cat appears!!!

Re: :::phoenix_1234::: 1992 Prelude S

I'm back with another update!!!! And i have something very nice.

So lately iv'e been touching up some rough spots on my car. And that touching up would be re-blacking my wiper arms. The paint was just fading and coming off so you can see the bare metal.
One day i was driving and the sun was behind me and i just got fed up of the the sun hitting the silver parts of the wiper blades and reflecting into my eyes.
So i took them off and just sprayed it with some leftover plasti-dip that was lying around. Waited for them to dry and put them back on.

Yesterday afternoon i spent a good 3 hours looking around at the junk yard and i found 4 preludes!! two had collision damage all along the passengers side, another had rear end damage.

So i ended up scoring a pair of tweeter covers (the ones with the plastic boarder)
A defrost button (my old one was melted from summer. yep melted.)
A 94-96 center console with the handbrake on the right side and the rear leather thingy.

And the best part, i only spent $26

Here's a picture of what i bought. You cant see everything in the picture but i will update that when i get around to installing them.

And this one is installed. Now does anyone know any tips on restoring plastic?
