Id I were you id paint the v/c red, polish the DOHC VTEC, get a polished intake, and some polished headers, and get some simple green and clean everything up and that would make one hell of a difference in your engine bay for under $150.

Yeah, I was thinking about red for the v/c but im wondering if a yellow/blue color scheme would work good. Like blue wires, etc. Yellow v/c, to stick with my calipers. I'm going yellow or red, just not too sure yet.

Here are pics from when I bought the car:

Nice bro! I'm mad jealous of your leather seats and arm rest! Definitely clean, make sure to keep it that way! :P So far I just put the original leather inserts in my 95. I want to get the leather arm rest next, and possibly s2k seats. But that's all for a different thread. Keep it up man!

She's pretty clean man. I would get rid of the altezzas though. Also I don't know if you know by your rims are backwards. Some people like them that way but it isn't how they came from the factory.

i wouldn't do yellow in there. it will get dirty quickly and eventually look like sun damaged clear coat or so gross pastel color. blue or red would look nice and black would obviously work out well too.
welcome to the site and best of luck!

I was actually just thinking of smoking the Altezzas. And really? I had no idea. Probably going to replace the rims anyways.

Thanks everyone!

Bad news though.
My engine started making a noise a couple of days ago, pretty sure the auto tensioner is shot. Thinking about an H23 manual tensioner swap, worth it or not?

Also I got some caliper paint, red, and I am most likely painting them Wednesday night.

I have tail light smoke paint but need another bottle of clear coat. If I don't like my results with the lightly smoked Altezzas I'll look into new ones.

Found one in eBay for 129.99 with free shipping. The h23 manual conversion kit is 70-90 with 30 shipping. I think ill have to grab this. Does anyone have any experience with the Kaizenspeed one?

Niceeeeee, 94-96 4th gen SR-V is the Lude I liked the most and wanted, especially the 94-95 obd1 model. Take good care of her!

Edit: Check out the kaizen speed manual tensioner and please don't use ebay for parts like that, it'll just end up being a bad scene.

Ahhh...now that is a nice car. I wouldn't tint those lights. Get some stock ones. Headlights need to go too. The rest of the car looks great. Keep it clean. Welcome to PZ.

Thanks man. I'll maybe switch to stock but the headlights are fine until I can get some Depo ones maybe. And because I'm short on cash right now (lost a 211$ physics textbook) I'll have to wait for my next paycheck to buy stock tails. Who knows though, a light smoke might look alright. Maybe one coat lighter than this.

Haven't posted anything in awhile, fixed the wobble in the c/s. Shes running great now. School is consuming my time and money, but hopefully there will be a little bit of aftermarket in the next couple weeks :)

re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

Posting an update I guess!

Haven't done much aftermarket with my car besides maintain it for the time being.

Two really crappy things happened recently...

I parked my car on the street. I don't know what I was thinking, but it was in october and I live at the end of a nice neighbourhood. Some douchebag dragged my neighbours basketball net into the rear end of my car... There was a small dent I fixed, and some very minor scratches, but the light on the spoiler is slightly smashed. It still works, however, so I need to buy a replacement light / spoiler (the spoiler is dinged up too).

Somebody in the university parking lot hit my car and left while I was in class. Kind of upsetting, no major damage just a large dent and cracked paint in the driver's side fender. Looking to replace the fender. Sigh... People are so dang disrespectful. I would have at least left a note and such... Insurance is out of the question, it would cost more than to replace the fender.

Still haven't done anything with the v/c, but I've got the weekend off and can use the garage finally :) Any suggestions on where to buy a fender / spoiler? I've got a little bit in the bank now too so hopefully I can do some stuff.

Nice BB1. Please change those eBay parts off that beautiful prelude and go back to stock. I'm begging you. Go to a junk yard and get that fender. Please change those tail lights and headlights. Don't worry about the valve cover, just sand it down for now. It will look nice and shiny.

They were on the car when I bought it sadly. I'm making a trip to the auto wreckers sometime this week and checking out what I can get.

Just picked up these off Ebay, (for front and back) I know my car isn't a "Type R" but whatever, I'm going to do a black / red theme on the outside so it will look good :)

Also in the process of painting my fender, just applying clear coat now and will post before and after pics as well as a DIY fender bodywork thread for anyone who wants to fix their own.

re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

So, painted and fixed my fender...

Before

After

Note that it looks a lot more shiny as to new clear coat. Also, it left some residue so in a couple days I am going to get rid of the residue and buff the hell out of it with polishing compound to blend it. Doesn't look half bad for a $12 DIY!

I'll still look for a local fender that hasn't been repainted however.

Wow, not bad at all for a $12 DIY job. Props for that. As for the red and black theme...go for it. I might be a little biased on that subject. Keep up the good work.
