Re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

Boom.

The valve cover looks really sick, but there are some places with no texture which is lame, so maybe a refinish in the future is in order. Calipers are going the same copper ;)

Also weight reduction swag! Got rid of power antenna, some stupid smelly padding things under the carpet, and a bunch of useless wires and stuff.

Also I got rid of the extra plastic in the front grille, it was already cut from the previous owner >:( Looks okay I guess.

As for the leaky grommet, I just cleaned it and put it back on really tightly. When I get my NGK spark plug wires and NGK Iridium spark plugs I will replace all of the gaskets / grommets in on the valve cover.

I have one of those suckers leaking too but feel like I'd snap the VC stud if I tightened anymore. :|

Turned out great. Was expecting it to be a bit darker but it's just the way the light shines off it. Gives it a nice contrast.

Thanks man! Yeah it's alright. I think when I am going to paint my calipers I will re finish if for some more even texture, but it sure looks a lot better than before!

Chyeaaaa! Got my Kenwood 6x9! It pumps almost as hard a small subwoofer. Sounds pretty insane... Almost perfect with my dual MTX audio speakers in the back.

I like that VC color a lot. I may have to steal your color later down the road now that my header doesn't match anything anymore haha.

Re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

Kind of update? My new gaskets came in the mail and I ordered my new exhaust, which is an eBay one but I'm going to ceramic coat it, 2.25" piping to 4" tip, should sound loud but not too obnoxious as per 2.25". Might heat wrap it (to protect it from the elements also). Hotter gases flow faster.

It's exam time. I have one final on Wednesday for calculus based physics, then two next week. Then my life is working and throwing money at my prelude

I have been helping my brother with his car project, an '07 Tiburon Tuscani with a 2.7L Eliza V6 engine, that he is going Stage 2 Sniper S/C with. He wants to produce ~320 whp with it, and going with water methanol injection, etc... So if anyone likes Tibs or anything you can check out his build here.

Here is a picture of his car, I like it, it's nice having someone in your family who is into modding cars who you can kind of feed off of and learn sh!t.

That's it for now, will post up when I get my exhaust from cheaBay! ;)

It is a cheaBay DNA Motoring exhaust :)

That being said, the welds look really solid and it is built pretty well. First impression 10/10, its shiny as hell, feels sturdy and solid, and all of the flanges are welded on well.

Tomorrow morning I am gonna put it on... Then we will see about how it looks on my car, how it sounds, fitment, etc.

Re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

Alrighty, so I got the exhaust put on and it is awesome. It sounds sexy AF at lower RPMs, and when the engine is warm the higher RPMs are loud with very little rasp. Hardly any cabin drone, I can't believe this is an eBay exhaust. Lol.

It took a long time to get off though... the old bolts were seized and ****ed up and we ended up torching it to hit them out. New one went on like a charm except... One of the hangers is too low. It wont fit. So I am going to an exhaust shop sometime to get it fixed.

It looks pretty gnarly with my accord lip (which I haven't fitted mudflaps with)

Overall, besides the fitment issue, I give it a 8.5/10. We will see how it holds up though.

Nice! Exhaust shop should be able to fix that up to look loads better. Just looking at the exhaust in above pics looked to be of good quality. Nice to hear Ebay stuff is good once in a while. It's always hit or miss but you definetly got the hit from the looks/sounds of it. lol

Yeah definately! It might be too loud though, might switch out the muffler in a month or two.

For sure. I cut the lip for my stock muffler so the new one sits kind of differently.

Not necessarily, cams would be a minimal gain compared to what he is doing to it

Hit my exhaust fixed!

Also bought some JDM One Piece headlights.

In bad news, someone hit my car on Saturday night, FOR THE THIRD TIME. I'm so pissed off. Maybe it was because my car is black... Regardless I'm gonna plastidip it yellow until I can save enough to respray it cyan or something.

Re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

It was cut already for fogs so there were holes. It looked junky so I removed it, but expect to see an intercooler in there in the next 2 months ;)

Re: :::GARURUMON:::1995 Honda Prelude SR-V

And jk bout the intercooler. Probably selling this prelude, it's been a good run but I am looking for something a little better as a base, something already turboed. I love her but its time to let her go. Looking to get a third gen as DD...
