So, I've been on here awhile and wanted some place to keep track of all my progress. So, I figured making one of these threads would do that nicely and show others my progress too.

P/S Delete, EVAP Delete, EGR Delete (Done),*
Halo Projector w/6000k H.I.D. (Done),
*New Civic Half Rad (Done),
*New Dizzy, Racing wires, and NGK Plugs(Done),
"CAI" w/ Cone filter (Done)
Battery Relocation (Pending),

F22a1 Stock

Euro Tail lights
Black Halo Projector w/ 6000k HID

P/S Deleted & looped

EGR Delete

History: Bought the car in November 2011 and been in maintenance mode ever since. Replaced numerous gaskets trying to stop leaks, adjusted the valves, oil filter, oil change, EGR cleaning, throttle plate cleaning, and Seafoam... Almost running perfect now.

Future Mods:
Ebay exhaust to replace cracked OEM
New distrobutor
Battery relocate to trunk
CAI w/ K&N cone
Power antenna replace with CF 3" antenna
Body repair and paint
Complete suspension refresh
Custom valve cover paint job
JDM Fog lights
New tires and rims
Z3 Fenders
Front and back Accord lip
Turbo build to 300hp









4/12/2012 - Rest of my headlight assembly came today

Recently found oil in my dizzy, so now I'm on the lookout for a new one

I wouldnt get an intake if you plan on going turbo. And if you do plan on doing that turbo build, make sure you get a 3" exhaust

Turbo is at least a year away so its mostly cosmetic. Same with the ebay exhaust manifold.

New sonar headlights with HID kit installed






There was only 1 problem I ran into... The HID's didn't work out of the box. Turns out the sonar lights were wired internally and the plug reversed the polarity

Wired in the lights right from the stock harness and it worked



Made a better connector for the other side for easier removal



Everything wired up ready to mount



Finally! Looks good over all. Need to do some adjusting tonight since they aim at the ground

And here's the beam cutoff... When I installed the new passenger light the frame was pretty beat up so it doesn't sit level anymore.

Update:

All aluminum half rad and EGR block off installed. Both were broken and I didn't have the budget, so I had to go cheap. Pics to come tonight

Alright so here's the pic's of my rush job

First of, just the basic rad. The previous owner replaced it with a junkyard rad and it didn't last long. Top seal is toast, bottom outlet cracked, tonnes of bent fins... bad rad caused overheating and coolant loss from day 1.





Size differences





BOOOOO! stock fan "fit" so I don't "need" a new one... Future fix for later



Despite the looks, its actually quite sturdy like this



Before this all happened though, while the rad was draining. I took the chance to "replace" my EGR valve that was sticking.... with this nice block plate



and uh... I only took before pictures since my rad drained pretty quick so gotta wait for that... even though its just a plate haha

cant wait to see the f22 boosted man :D all respect to the single cammer jammer preludes out there! and simply tweakin the OEM radiator stay you can make it sit flush (thats what i did and i personally loved the way it came out) if you go to my build thread and go to the last several pages you'll see how i did it! looks great thoe man keep it up!

btw i know you said your gonna be boosting it in about a year and you want to do cosmetic touchs, but i mean thats only 54 weeks away ;) im still rockin the intake my car came with and oem exhuast manifold that my swap came with, only because i knew id be boosting it. also if you wanna save a way bigger dollar bill then usually the traditonal way to run the intercooler for mostly any honda it interferes 9 times outta 10 with the foglights. not saying it cannot be done bc i know 2 fourth genners online who are running fogs but to save a dollar bill and a headache this can save a near 250 dollars on top of the 100 dollars for the header and CAI. and could compensate for simply a big chunk out of turboin the F. but by all means do your thing man its your build and your car!

As part of my tune-up I looked at just a new filter for my stock intake and its $70 local, and $45 on ebay. Getting the intake with a "washable" cone filter is only $25 so I figured just slap that in for now, change it out later. As for the exhaust manifold, I'm thinkin about hitting up the import junkyard again to try and find H23 Intake and exhaust manifolds that I can just clean and paint or something. Alot of this car needs to be fixed, but my main goal is getting her healthy again, hence all the cheap parts for now.

Well it has some light bucking(?) When I hit highway speed at WOT, 5-6k rpm, and only in 3rd or higher gear. I'm waiting on a filter and need to do an oil change but don't really know what causes my problem

Life got crazy for awhile but I managed to keep the lude with me. Now I'm back on my feet I'm putting money into her again. Spun out on the highway and went noise first into a snowbank. Ripped a CV boot, mangled my tie rods, and other minor damage. Ordered up new hid ballasts, front wheel bearings, full tie rod set, and front axles. I think I might buy new bushings and rotors before I rip it all apart. Be prepared for a big project, I know I'm not...lol

dont rush things man i'd re-do your steering/suspension for once and for good. when all of it's out i'd go ahead and undercoat the black under coat spray that has the textured finish. truly makes it look alot better and cleaner. clean all spindles knuckles etc. and replace all boots, joints, bushings, etc..... expensive man but thats one milestone out of the way!

so trying to take your advice but i'm having trouble with lower control arm pieces. Should i bother replacing them or just get new bushings? i'm going to do more google searching and see what i come up with. i'm trying to figure out which pieces are replaceable in the front suspension.

well if you can afford it, I would buy new but if your pieces aren't bent it would be a bit more economical to just DIY replace the bushings.

did the inner and outer tie rods but didn't take pictures because it was super quick and easy with no problems. I'm thinking about ordering upper control arms (with ball joints) and a polyurethane bushing kit next while I wait for HID ballasts and CV axles. I'm also itching to get new drilled/slotted rotor's and ceramic pads but I think I can only afford fronts for now so I might wait. input?

changing tie rods should only take about an hour or so for both. I would DEF do inner and outer together. As for brakes, just wait and do them all at once. And if you are going to buy all brand new bushings then I would skip out on buying new upper control arms and just get your hands dirty and replace EVERYTHING under there.
