:::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

I bought the car June 2011 with the intention of fixing it up; making a stock car look and drive like a stock car. Originally I was looking for a 5th gen prelude but had to "settle" with this 4th gen, not knowing at the time the awesome car I had just bought for 15 bills (15 100's). I fell deeply attached to the car ever since the previous owner took me for a test drive the day I bought it. Despite being in shambles due to lack of upkeep, the car pulled beautifully through the rev range and I experienced my first VTEC engage, well, other than a B16 EG hatch I once rode in. But something felt magical about this car. It's a 1995 Prelude SR-V (Slow, Rusty, VTEC), azure blue-green pearl and has 218xxx KM's on the clock. So far I've done simple mods and fixed up a few problems that came with the car. Looking to make in to a reliable, aesthetic and fun daily driver.

Interior:
-Crap racing pedals
-Old alarm system
-Half stripped interior
-CRX Si shift knob
-CDM heated leather seats, heated side view mirrors

Exterior:
-96 Spec DC2 IT-R's with 225/50 Kumho Ecsta AST
-94/95 Accord rear lip
-94/95 Accord front lip
-Front/Rear OEM mudflaps
-JDM black housing 1pc headlights

Engine:
-AEM CAI
-Ebay SS OE replacement header/downpipe, Megan resonated test pipe, Thrush glass-pack, Apexi N1 muffler
-NGK plugs/wires
-Cruise control deleted
-Random bling: BLOX cam seals, PW:JDM magnetic oil pan/tranny drain plugs

Suspension:
-Unknown shocks, Bilstein springs
-Energy sway bar bushings/end links
-Spoon rear strut tower bar

PICS:

Pics of when I first got it:

April 2012, being stored in garage:

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

Thanks guys.

Left out one thing though...RUST!!! I think I was in denial while making my post, because I left out the part where the drivers side quarter panel has rust...which I will cut out and get rid of as much as possible then get new metal welded on. The passenger side also needs to be saved as rust looks like its beginning to form there. The trunk lid has some rust forming around the bottom of the license plate housing...I see a black hood and black trunk lid with no spoiler in the near future. Maybe 5th gen sunroof conversion, or black 4th gen moonroof. If anyone wants the spoiler with brake light in it lemme know.

Suspension needs some work.

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

Decided I'll prep/paint the car in the fall...I'm going with satin black...I know two who have done it and their ludes look extremely badass, and like them I'll only be doing it temporarily till I decide on a color and save up enough for a real legit paint job down the road.

Some pics as examples.

lol just so happens the guy who sold me it actually had planned to put it in his EG then decided not to...and he bought it off a reputable guy who goes to PreludePower who was going to turbo it and put it in his 4th gen lude, but then lost interest.

Not big on civics, or teggies for that matter...the only car I'd put it in other than a Prelude is an Accord coupe.

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

hit PnP and found a load of accords...but not a single lude in sight.

-I grabbed a bunch of 5th gen Accord stuff (front lip, rear lip, full set of mud flaps) so now I have the full deal for the lude. I'll add the center piece and fit the mudflaps to the rear, then add the front lip!
-I found the same type of cup holders that 4th gen ludes have (with the push to open feature) but on the accord its a double holder, not just the single one! no fair...oh well, im happy my accord DD has cupholders now, so is my girl.
-I need to go back there and grab the 4th gen Accord sunroof visor(s) I saw, as I found out they do fit 4th gen ludes...just couldn't get the brackets out so left them there.

Anyways still waiting till im able to start working on the lude...weather is crap, garage is cramped and school is being a b*sh.

Good start man I wish I had those parts to put on my 4th gen because the weather here in Phoenix is amazing at the moment! I'll be keeping my eye on your build because our cars are almost identical!

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

mad tight JDM yo! Advan "AVS VS-6" in 16x7. Need to clean them up a bit...cant wait to see how they look on the lude and/or accord.

Found an awesome picture of a 6th gen accord with the same wheels in 17x7.

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

Went ahead and threw them on, looks awesome!

The +30 offset make them sit pretty flush. However I'll probably have to roll the front fenders. I might be safe in the rear because of the way the rear 4G lude fenders flare out.

Sorry for the lack of pics...I have a week of final exams then I'll have time to bring the lude out the garage, clean it and take some pics, and finally start working on it some more.

got a crap ton of snow today...@*#!

Wheels installed...but it's dirty, and still stuck in a messy garage with bad lighting. Sorry for crap angles and poor pic quality...

spare door behind it, as well as what looks like a floating garbage can. The azure blue green pearl color looks blue in these pics, pretty cool.

thanks bro!

those sawblades were a 6-7/10 at best imo, pic did them so much justice. Sold them to a guy with 6th gen Accord for $100 a month ago. So bloody heavy for 15s, but probably indestructible. I'm interested to see how they would even look on a 6G Accord...but im pretty sure he's using them for winter rims.

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

I found three junked 4G ludes...it was a sad sight. nothing much on them...suspensions looked awful, engine bays completely molested, interiors in disarray. :( One of them was an SR-V and had what looked like a pair of heated leather seats in decent condition...need to get my @$$ back there and grab them.

I at least got a pair of 4G rear mudflaps woot so now I can exchange the Accord ones I was planning on fitting on. Also found a set of single fin nostrils that I like more than the double fin ones that came on the 94 and up ludes.

Installed my red/pink Work lugs, much lighter and compliments the cars colors well.
Installed single fin nostrils!

Re: :::Wegz::: 1995 SR-V

just finished installing the rear mudflaps. It was pretty hard to fit them with the Accord rear lip even by trimming the lip a bit. They look a bit awkward as they dont sit flush. Anyone know what I can do? I was thinking 3M double sided adhesive tape or something of the sort just to stick them to the side of the bumper more so there isn't a gap of space in some spots.

I also installed the center piece of the Accord rear lip. Looks good...

and right now taking the front bumper off so I can change the CAI filter and get the Accord front lip on then see what else I can do from there...maybe see if I can get the one piece headlights on, but I dont feel up to tackle the wiring...I prefer the harness.
