:::1slw4dr::: '94 Si BB2

Alright so I already started a thread on Prelude Power, VAPOA, and now I'm going to start one on here. This thread will basically be a double of what I have posted on VAPOA since the format and rules appear to be the same.

Car was purchased by a friend of mine from a guy out of Maryland. After going over the car and fixing one thing after another I decided the car was not suitable for my goddaughter to be driven around in so I decided to trade him my entire B16 swap for the car. Now after replacing a water pump, thermostat, engine harness, alternator, 2 throttle cables(kept melting), negative battery cable(fixed melting throttle cable), pulling FITV for clean and tighten, and a distributor I have gotten the car running just enough to drive everyday.

Engine
~ '94 Prelude S F22a1 w/ H23a1 trans
~ e*** Short Ram w/ generic filter
~ OEM H23a1 exhaust manifold & downpipe w/ stock cat and Thermal R&D exhaust

Suspension
~ Tokico Illumina's
~ Tokico Springs 1.5" Drop

Brakes
~ eBay drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads

Wheel/Tire
~ 16x7 5zigen wheels of some sort
~ Falken 205/50 V rated tires

Exterior
~ Antenna and front plate relocation

Interior
~ Stock w/ optional Leather Seats

Car when I first got it . . .

Re: :::1slw4dr::: '94 Si BB2

Instead of cramming everything into the first post I'm going to split things up a bit so bear with me.

According to Tokico these springs give a 1.5" drop. Also they are paired with the Tokico Illumina shocks.

Now it is hard to tell with the glare from the sun but on the passenger side it appears to sit nice and even and I like it although it could use to be lower I think. On the other hand if you look at the driver side you can still see where it appears the front is sitting higher then the rear and the rear dam near has no fender gap at all. Any opinions other then shocks cause supposedly the rears where supposed to only have a few hundred miles on em . . .

Re: :::1slw4dr::: '94 Si BB2

While at the local pick a part I found a 5th gen that was for the lack of a better word F**KED UP. My buddy noticed that besides the head missing and the block being completely thrashed the 5 speed trans was still attached and ripe for the picking. So with my H23 Non-Vtec I'm putting in the car for the daily grind I thought it would be fun to throw on some shorter gears and see how it goes. So here is some pictures before I cleaned it all up.

THIS THING ONLY COST ME $95 WITH STARTER!!!!!

Into the parts cleaner she goes!!!

After I stripped off the starter, mount, etc.

Now these 2 pictures show the only 2 real issues with the transmission that I can see. Hopefully they will have no ill affect on anything as they appear to only be cosmetic.

Alright Guy's and Gal's here is another update on the "Back to Stock" mode I got going on. Picked up an entire H23a1 swap for $200 that some jack ass had put the timing belt on completely wrong and bent EVERY valve in the head. Luckily I found a guy on a local forum with a freshly redone head that is willing to trade for the transmission. As of right now the plan is to strip it down, clean it, and do a BS delete while it's out the car. Along with a 12 pound flywheel and Exedy OEM replacement clutch I'm hoping the M2Y4 and redone motor makes me decide to keep this car rather then sell it.

NOW TIME FOR PICTURES!!! No one really reads what ya post they just love pictures ha ha ha

$200 Swap(Valve cover removed cause friend offered to paint)

Motor Code just because . . .

Trans that's getting me the new head! :smilejap:

I hope too. Baby on the way so as long as people buy my surplus of Honda parts I can't use on the Lude I should be able to keep it up. Creative financing is what I got to learn to keep it going.

Overall thanks for the support guys!!! Nice to see this site has people that like to comment. With out constructive input from others how am I supposed to know how I'm doing. Motivation is key ha ha ha ha

Forgive me for being a little slow but I don't get the "high res" joke. I just take em with my iPod Touch and load em to Photobucket and link em. Thanks for the support though. This is the kind of stuff I wasn't getting on the other sites I was really looking for!

Junkyard Find

So my car has had it's dash taken apart by the previous owner and tabs are broken, trim panels missing, screws lost so while at the junkyard I was looking for Prelude's. Unfortunately the first 3 I looked at where stripped interior wise and or complete trash but luck would have it there was one that hadn't been rapped to bad. Whole dash bored untouched and 5 speed ECU and cover all in tact and even got an OEM floor mat. I'll grab some photos tomorrow of all the parts and probably the install since I haven't taken any of the interior yet. For now enjoy photos of the nice snow that decided to surprise us out of the blue.

Car we got the stuff out of

Alright so here's another friendly update on the BB2! I have another update on the Interior progress but I wanted to finish it all up before I made the post so for now here is some pictures of my parts that finally came in to tied ya guys over. Also a couple of the car after I ran it threw the wash on my lunch break.

Now thanks to "acidcrakker" on PP I now have a neat little shift light.

Up close and personal!

Even sent a nice sticker, just don't know where I'll I put it.

Now also the exhaust for my goddaughter's father's car came in after they sent us some mexican **** the first time. It's a sweet baby blue DA. I'll get some pictures of it once I'm done getting everything together if you guys are interested.

Well it stinks for one as would any other form of **** but in this instance it's a term people I know including those in the Spanish community refer to something that is 'riced' so to speak. If I have offended you then I apologize. Problem was they sent us this huge ass coffee can muffler exhaust that didn't even look good and on top of that didn't even have a resonator in the midpipe so we knew it would be louder then hell and draw alot of unwanted attention.

Nice! I was the 3rd owner of my DB1 2g Integra and I had all the mudflaps and threw them out like a retard 6 years ago. Now I want them but can't find em lol Never realized they would become something people actually wanted.

Alright so instead of ordering my BS delete kit or head studs I found a set of wheels on a local forum I think will look ok on the car. Also plan on painting white cause I just think that would look awesome. Well here's some pictures, Enjoy!

Well I have been slam busy at work and on top of that when I'm off I been working on "1SLWDA9" and "1SLWDC4" Finally this weekend I should be able to get some quality time with the BB but who knows since the baby ma ma has all sorts of plans thought up. Well for now here is an update on the Prelude and a couple shots of the DA I been working on.

Quick picture of my latest interior mod! Ultrasound picture! Hope it's a boy!

Quick pic of wheels after throwing them on before I left work. I'll get some better ones later.

Now for anyone interested the POS that keeps me from showing the BB any love as of recently.

Alright so got another update although it's nothing special. I spent most of my day changing out a ball joint and axle seal on my buddies DC4. Was going to start taking pictures of all the motor stuff I have torn apart and such but completely forgot. Ordering ARP head studs tonight and my clutch and flywheel with my next check. Kaizenspeed BS delete kit is on back order at the moment and wont be shipped out until mid next week. Look for write up on that. I feel the ones out at the moment aren't as thorough as they could be. Well enough of my yapping. On to the pictures.

Finally an engine bay shot and the new wheels ;-)

Now if this was a Military situation and I was a Commander lets say then this would be one of my Generals I suppose as well as the blue DA9.

Re: :::1slw4dr::: '94 Si BB2

Alright so after having all this interior crap bouncing around my car and laying in my parts room I decided to tell everyone to **** off this weekend and work on my own **** for once. Still waiting on parts for the new motor and trans setup so figured I'd play with the interior a little bit. Also had to drop $200 on tie rods, ball joints, and upper control arms. Those should be in Wednesday so I can take some pictures of that just to keep up with the updates.

Alright well first lets start with the computer. Cover was missing, carpet folded all back and just such an eye sore. So while at the junkyard grabbed all the factory nuts, bolts, and cover. Also my buddy a fluffy guy and swiped a 5 speed H23 computer for me :) We just so naughty lol

This is the bull **** that I got when I bought the car :(

New Computer and cover!

Now for the installation pictures :)

Now for the really fun stuff! The tach on my cluster was reading WAY off and my warning panel was all jacked up so I decided to get both new and all the screws and brackets that where missing and broke where a good reason too!

Everything gathered up! :)

The plastic piece above the cluster. The holes on the old ones where all blown out like they met screw bigger then they supposed to lol

When I pulled the tweeter covers off I found them busted all to pieces. Not to happy about that. Any ideas where to get good replacements?

Now here is where my old ones where broken and the everything removed.

Little silver thingy that plugs into cluster was just hanging there so I screwed it in with proper bracket. Problem is plastic tab for upper bracket is broke off dash so only lower bracket holding it for time being.

Now for the installation of the new parts and the beauty of working stuff! Also always double check all connectors cause I forgot one and had to take it apart twice to get it working :wzbigcry:

Alright well I have more stuff i did today but I have 2 other forums to update on and I'm tired as hell so check back tomorrow for the rest of what I got if you're interested. See ya!

Alright well I haven't got a chance to finish the interior updates but I finally got my KS BS delete kit today!!!! The kit came with everything I will need and that was listed on the site. Also came with quality instructions in my opinion and I even ordered the spacer for an extra $20 that lets you remove the BS tensioner pully for a cleaner look/install. I'm making a new review for this product in the reviews part of thePrelude Power forum so keep an eye on it for when I install it :)

Well here are the pictures :xmas:

Full contants of package

Came with some nice stickers, business card, and instructions.

Sealed and clean!

BS Tensioner pully delete spacer(not needed but for $20 why not)

Re: :::1slw4dr::: '94 Si BB2

Alright well with nobody as far as I can tell paying much attention to little old me and Honda Day coming up this weekend I haven't been to pressed on updating my build threads on the 4 different Prelude forums I have joined since purchasing mine. I did how ever do a pretty bad ass write up on the Kaizenspeed BS Delete kit which you can see in my signature or if you are on another forum this link will take you there.

KaizenSpeed BS Delete Kit - Honda Prelude Forum : Honda Prelude Forums

My last update was of the interior stuff I did. I was going to add more but got tired and felt it wasn't needed. Mostly just tearing apart of the center console. Realizing the dip ****s before me ****ed everything up. Using wrong screws, breaking off bolts, tabs broken and missing. The usual idiot trying to do something himself and breaking ****. Plan now is to locate a decent interior in the scrap yard and start pulling factory stuff with all factory hardwware. A little OCD maybe but at least I know my **** will be legit. Well with the balance shaft's deleted and my head studs ready to be installed it appears all I need now my clutch/flywheel and I can put this bad boy in the car. Also my birthday just passed on the 7th and the baby ma ma go me a nice new head unit and my buddy supposed to be getting me some speakers. Plan on buying new tweeters and door speakers once I get back from Honda Day. Well it's late and I'm starting to rant and need to copy this to 3 other forums. Sorry I couldn't give a better update but here are some pictures to make it a little worth it I hope.

ARP!!!!

Only part of the delete kit you actually see but I'm using timing belt covers so you wont even see that ;(

Block wiped down and ready for head stud install :)

Alright well it's raining and I'm bored so I thought I would make another update. It's nothing to impressive but hell I need to keep it up to date and rolling if I wish to draw any attention to my build.

Well first off I can finish up the interior update stuff for ****s and giggles.

Found me an OEM floor mat.

Next the center console was lose, wiggled, and just down right a mess. It's missing just about every screw so even after putting it back together it appears I will need to find a day I can go out to the pick and pull and get every OEM nut, bolt, and screw so my **** is done right. A bunch of tabs are broken off as well so new center console will be needed. Also shift boot wasn't in right so fixed that.

It's hard to tell but that tab is supposed to be underneath a holder piece

Here you can see the elevated piece that goes over the tab

Alright well here is the center console all torn apart. I didn't think to get pictures of the broken tabs but I did get a few shots of the bolt that is ment to hold one of the primary dash supports in that they put the wrong screw in and messed it all up. I tried to fix it but then the bolt snapped in half. :wzbigcry: Guess now I will have to screw it out and redo the threads.

Screw they used!

Didn't have a tap and die kit so decided to try and redo threads with fresh bolt but it still ended up snapping from cross threading.

Well now there is nothing there and I am sad.

Well now center console is all back together as best as I can get it and it no longer rattles or shakes but still have a lot of screws to put back in.

Well another thing I forgot to get pictures of was that of the little sorry excuse of a glove box they have in the Prelude. It as well was missing a bunch of screws and rattled like hell so fixed that. In case you guys are wondering yes the people who had this car before me had to have been rejected ass children. As stated before I will be on the hunt for complete interior redo. Along with all factory harnesses, clips, screws, etc I will get this right and I will get it fresh. So stay tuned for the next installment of fixing retards mess ups lol

sucks about the previous owners interior hackjob.

I also have the KS BS kit installed in my h22a. I didn't do it though, previous owner did lol...but good to know how it was done/how it looked like while it was being done. :)

Alright so I have been slacking on the updates so here is a little something something for all my fellow player and pimp's out there! First off for those who have paid attention to my build thread instead of just looking at pictures I have a kid on the way. Just found out Monday it will be a girl. Still a slim chance it could be a boy which is what I really want but hell as long as it comes out healthy and happy I'll be happy. Also my goddaughter getting so big and beautiful and soon she will be walking all on her own.

ME walking my goddaughter around the living room.

That's my baby! Can't wait for it to come already cause baby ma ma crazy as hell with all the hormones and **** raging!

Now onto what you're really here for. So I got fed up and annoyed at how ****ty the motor was running and really just wanted to get the money for my H23a1 parts so I could get it swapped out. So I went ahead and yanked the full swap and sold it. Now all I need to do is order a gasket set and clutch/flywheel setup and the motor will go back in. Also in need of down pipe.

Back of the car after we were done for the day and I was trying to pull the tarp down to cover the motor since rain was coming.

Girlfriend was taking all the pictures so here are a bunch of randoms of me and my boys yanking the motor and swinging it around and all that random fun **** you do when you pull a motor.

No engine swap/removal is complete without a picture of the owner standing in the engine bay so I made her take one and of course she got me looking all retarded and **** lol

This last picture is of us realizing that our impact/compressor was not going to remove that crank pulley so we said **** it and told the guy I sold the motor to he should check timing as a possibility to the motor not having full power.

Alright ladies and gentleman I have been a little MIA lately and am here to get back to business. Last I left you all I had just yanked the H22 and decided to do a full refresh to get the car back to OEM goodness and fix all the previous owners **** ups. On top of that add a few goodies to enjoy the daily grind. Well with our further a do onto what was discovered and what's being done about it.

First there is the exhaust leak and half ass weld job it had done. Found a Thermal R&D with cat for cheap on Craigslist. The header I still haven't figure out what to do about. The old one was a DC Sports top half and eBay lower half so it was all ghetto rigged lol. Pictures of that I will get later but for now here is what the old stuff looked like.

So at first I thought I had a DC Header so I was like hell ya make some extra coin but big surprise when I take it apart the bottom half was of an eBay style header. Ask me how I know this? Well DC Sport uses all factory gaskets so if this was a true DC header it would have circle grooves in it for the gaskets to sit. O and also my radiator got a little messed up. Poor lil thing lol.

Old cat's flange was so warped for some reason it blew the gasket out.

Old muffler and for what ever reason it was welded solid.
