Re: :::PanicAtTheKmart::: 1989 S H22 Turbo

Nice. It looks good and like alot of fun. Clutches are going to be fun with that thing (unless you switch over to a twin disc).

Might I advise you disconnect the clutch safety switch if you havent already done so. I assume you will be running a super stiff clutch and pressure plate to hold the power. The side loading upon startup wears on all of the bearings excessively and can be avoided by bypassing the clutch and not using it on startups.

The GT35r is the turbo I assume you have on there. Why did you choose this particular turbo for a stock motor build? It does seem a little bit big.

Yes, stock sleeves. and the 35r because thats the turbo that i'm going to be using when the build is finished. shes at very low boost right now so she can still be driven. BUT the end all plan is to get the sleeves rods pistons etc so i can go through the roof... lol I'm gonna miss her as a street car. but its my dream to do that with this car.

Awe, she is such a pretty street car, I love it with the rack on and the paint the way it is... It looks awesome if you ask me.

thanks a lot man! well, to be honest with you, she may be getting a smaller turbo, and that one may be going on another lude project. but thats a long way away. I'm more stoked about the possible future one. ;x

Yikes.. Sounds like you really wanna dump the cash into her. I have a very similar sized turbo (ceramic bearing instead of dual ball) and can say that at 5psi its not even hardly spooling. Ive also driven a gt35r on a h23vtec several times (built it actually) and at low boost it just drags.

the g35r doesnt even hit its sweet spot till about 450whp. But, that amount of power starts costs a pretty penny to play.

Also. Noticed the coolant lines to the turbo are capped off. Why? Might as well take advantage of that awesomeness. Cooling the bearings properly will prolong the life of the turbo.

Also, whats the bracket holding to the left side of the steering wheel?

Re: :::PanicAtTheKmart::: 1989 S H22 Turbo

Its a button for street 2 step... but i changed it... now instead of 2, i just use the 1 cause i dont race on the street.

And yes, its depressing. shes barely spooling to push out 5/6psi... but... i take it as more of an encouragement to finish everything.
