:::DBD6604::: 1996 BB1

If you couldn't tell, the first series of pictures is from the first year I had the car. After that, I had a terrible streak of bad luck in the form of a deer, 3 hit and runs, and vandalism. On top of all that, I lost my job for a year and recently just started working again. So as you could imagine, she had to take a back seat to more important things. Hopefully all of that is going to change. Let's see what we can do in the next year or two.

INTERIOR

PSPEC Short Shifter
Vanillaroma Air Freshener

EXTERIOR

Smoked Tails
35% Tint
Ghetto Badges

ENGINE

AEM Cold Air Intake
Megan Racing Tri-Y Header
PWJDM Test Pipe

BOOTZ!!!

If you guys have anything to suggest, go for it. Criticism is always welcome. Got a sweet idea? Share it. I will most likely be doing something to the car all the time, as well as receiving parts on a weekly basis. I will post pics of any parts I get (big or small), because let's face it, everyone loves parts pics.

Like I said, if anyone has anything they'd like to say, I'd love to hear it.

bout time you make one of these

nice choice on the rpf01's for your future wheels, those things look good on just about anything and are pretty damn light too. you know what offset or finish you're gonna go with?

Re: :::DBD6604::: 1996 BB1

Thanks man. I'll probably go with a 43, maybe a little less. As for finish...I'll probably just go with the original Silver until I can get them painted/powdercoated Bronze. But that's a loooong ways down the road.

You don't have to tell me man. It pains me every day to see her sitting there, dirty and undriven.

Haha true that man. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten.

Who is it? Someone in your town? No one around here does it at all, so I would gladly drive out there to get it done. I'll probably need to get my rims and valve cover done eventually.

Yeah dude...it's mainly to keep me motivated. I have no "car people" that I hang out with, so it's basically up to everyone here. Kinda sucks but whatev.

And as far as bootz goes, it's gonna take a while, but it's happening.

Now...back to the garage to fight with rusty brake rotors.

Dead Weight. Just for ****s and gigs.

Nothing big, but like I said, all parts get pics. Rear wheel studs, spindle nuts, Hawk HP Plus fronts.

Still fighting with the last line on the steering rack. I lost again tonight. I don't have anything else to throw at it. I think I'm just going to leave it open, and once it goes out, just convert to an actual manual rack. What do you guys think?

Funny how everyone including myself forget I-80 goes from New York all the way to Northern California. Talk about a long boring drive for us New Jersey natives to visit Cali without jumping on a plane.
If I knew you were taking your power steering lines out I would have asked for your pressure switch lines mine rusted out and I need new ones.
Looks good though I need to start my overhaul thread soon I have a mountain of parts to put in if I weren't so lazy... Oh well nobody has even seen a picture of my lude shows how lazy I truly am.

Manual rack sounds good. I was just talking to a friend about doing that to my car.

I still have it sitting in the garage. If you want it I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: Just realized I cut the line that that switch is on, so you probably don't want it. Sorry bro.

BUT on another note, I just had a brilliant (???) idea. I think I'm just going to JBWeld some hardline into the bolt in the steering rack (since it's already got a hole in it, it will just slide right in). I mean, if HondaPower is holding his block together with JBWeld, it can hold a little hardline in place right?

Lemme know what you guys think.

Re: :::DBD6604::: 1996 BB1

So...I worked a long ass shift today and got bored and did some budgeting... By the 25th of June I should have an H23 block (to start my H23VTEC-Turbo build ), manual tensioner swap, new grill vents (to replace my busted ass ones ), KTeller 3" exhaust, new SS brake lines, and Koni Yellows for the front. Not that anyone cares, but I'm pretty excited.

Should be a good year if I can keep things going at this pace.

Re: :::DBD6604::: 1996 BB1

Manual Rack for real Ill tell you even with fluid in the rack its a pain for parking lot and driveway maneuvering. I can live without it until I need to accomplish a K-turn in my driveway than may lord have mercy. Upcoming plans sound fun though cant wait too see it come together.

Since my license is suspended, the only time I have driven it since the PS delete is very very slowly in the driveway (mainly moving out of someone's way) and I have no problems whatsoever maneuvering. But then again...I'm a beast. I will probably end up doing the manual rack deal eventually...When I get SUPER ambitious some weekend lol.

As far as progress...I'm mainly doing basic maintenance and **** so when I get my license back I'll be good to go. Flushed the cooling system and changed the oil today, new front brake rotors/pads and wheel studs Tuesday, then waiting til I get paid Friday to buy more parts. Slow and steady wins the race.
