Dang dude, everything you do to that lude is beautiful. Even the darn engine components!!! Awesome looking, and the rest of the bay looks clean. How do you keep it that clean? and How much did that Intake run you? (without the polishing and ceramic coating) Again....I love your lude, and getting updates on the new things you do to it...cause everyone of em is sic. Keep em Coming!

Thanks man. Actually I really need to get around to cleaning the bay, its looking a little dirty lately. I like to use a an All purpose cleaner and an assortment of brushes to clean. For dressing the bay I like to use C2D engine detailer spray. I got lucky and picked up the mugen header for $400.

It's been awhile.. finally had a chance to install these. :D

And a sneak peak of whats to come! ;)

Wooooooow. That. Is. Awesome. I maintain that this is THE cleanest lude, in the true sense of the word, on PZ. Did you just order the LED lights and basically plug em and play?

Thanks for the kind words man....really appreciate it.
The LED boards and wiring are from an old preludepower group buy.
They are no longer being made, but I finally had the chance to install the boards and wiring into my tail lights this past weekend.

Finally put them on today. Still need to make some suspension adjustments but here are some quick pics.

No spacer necessary... yay! Comes close though.

Mounted on 245/40 Hankook RS3's:

Got these for free. :)

...and on the prelude.

Thanks! Yes, I wanted to go beefy! To be honest, I still have rubbing on the rear. I haven't relocated my bumper tab yet but I plan on doing that tomorrow.

I need to raise the front a little too. I adjusted my coilovers down all the way in the front just to gauge at how low I could go! But my driveway is way too steep for my car and I have to take a sharp turn to make it in. At how low I am the fender was dangerously close to resting on the tire when I was near full lock.

I still have my kreuzers, they will be my back up rims. :)
I love my 18's but this time I wanted to give some 17's a try with some sticky rubber.

Now all I need to do is get myself that front strut bar and get the alignment done next week.

Oh wow... oh wow...

I thought I liked your old tire/rim set up, but this is godly man.

BTW what rims are those? I am sorry if you already said all I saw was the preview picture that said they were Yokohama's.

I have to say, I adore your prelude, and it's inspiring.

I liked a lot the way it looked with the RSX wheels (I'm a fan of oem look), but your choice are all really with a classy look target, like we say in french "chapeau!!" (kinda /bow :))

Good deal!

Took some ok photos now that I trimmed the rear bumper tab.
I raised the front about 1/2 an inch so I think now its adjusted perfectly my daily driving needs.

Classy bro. If you can't already tell by my comments, Im using your car as inspiration for mine. You ever thought about submitting this thing to something like Modified or Honda Tuning for a feature? You've come a Looooooooooooooooooong way with her and you definitely deserve some recognition for your work.

Nice man.. feel very honored to give a little inspiration for your lude.
As far as the magazines.. no not really man. I don't think the car is to that level quite yet. I thought I was getting close to being done with the car but I still have a few little things I want to have done to the car.

Re: :::EBPludeSH::: 2001 Type SH

Dude....I've seen rides with a lot less done in magazines. No doubt in my mind. This is feature quality. Like the Reader's ride's edition they do every year in Modified. This year, the cover car was a Red immaculate NSX. Your car has twice the mods. and thats actually saying a lot. Dude, the whole progress thread could(for the most part) do as the story. Im tellin you man. Either submit it to them for a feature....I don't know how you would do that....or wait till next year and watch Modified for when they start accepting admissions for their readers rides issue. As I've said before, 2 on my top 5 list of ludes on this site. But, I do have a question for you. I've been debating whether or not to use VHT nightshades on the clear strip on my taillights(back up/turn signals). What do you think about how that looks on my white 5g?

Thanks man. I will keep the magazine thing in mind. I should hopefully have some more updates coming on the car soon. ;)

Tail lights like this?

I'm not big on having it completely blacked out but a nice slight smoke/tint would look pretty good. Just IMO.

Yea neither am I, and yes, tail lights like that. I'll probably be using VHT nightshade to do it. And, if I can acquire them, black H emblems would be nice little touch too. Thanks, and I'll definitely be keeping up with your updates, so keep up comin' as things change bro!

Thanks tuner! Actually it wasn't too bad at all installing the LED boards into the tail lights. You do have to take your time not to crack the lens when prying the tails apart, but other then that it was ok.

A quick update:

Everything was working great with the RG-D's except I had a slight rubbing issue with my passenger side fender. All the other fenders were perfectly fine (all were rolled) but for some reason on the passenger side I had a little less clearance. So I decided to dismount the RG-D's and mount my 18" kreuzers to avoid damaging my tires or fender.

To resolve my rubbing issue I was set to have my pass fender re-rolled to match my drivers side.

All was on schedule but I ended up having a little case of bad luck.

A few weeks ago we ended up having some decent rain over night and when I woke up in the morning to go to work I noticed this:

My 5 yr old car canopy collapsed from all the rain.
The damage?
Dented passenger fender and A-pillar. :(

I temporarily installed an aftermarket fender(painted EBP) while I wait for my new genuine Honda fender to arrive this week. Once the fender arrives the car will be going to the body shop to repair the a-pillar and paint the new fender. While I have it at the shop the front and rear bumpers will be getting repainted as well. (all color matched)
Once all the paint is done it will be fender rolling time and the RG-D's will be going back on.

While I wait for my fender I purchased a type-s strut bar.

My prelude is currently sitting on 79k miles and once the fender and bumpers are painted the car will be looking like new.

In order to keep the car in pristine condition and avoid wear and tear from daily driving my prelude I decided to purchase my self a new daily driver.

Certified 2009 Pontiac G8 GT (V8 - 355 hp, 385lb/ft tq)

Decent gas mileage as well.. I drove it from a dealership located near the Arkansas border and I averaged 25.3 mpg on the trip back to Austin. Yay.. I can finally use regular gas as well.

Thanks for looking.

jeez..sorry to hear about the little dent there. I don't guess I realized how low mileage your car was...or maybe I did and just forget(very likely). Anyways thats awesome. Mine just hit 99. I also wish I had something to park mine under. At home I get relegated to the street, and then at school there not covered parking within 50 miles. Back on track, I bet your wallet was singing with happiness when you only had to buy regular fuel haha. How is the G8?

Thanks man, yeah it sucked seeing the lude damaged like that! I so can't wait to get it all repaired.

Man.. the G8 is an amazing car so far! The power and acceleration from the car is addicting. And the handling is very surprising as well for such a big car.
In one of the long sweeping corners I was able to match the cornering speed that I achieve in my prelude. Suspension is very well composed and comfortable for those long road trips.

Re: :::EBPludeSH::: 2001 Type SH

Just to update I picked up my prelude a few weeks ago from the shop. The color match came out great!

I had ordered a brand new Honda fender from bernardiparts but unfortunately it was damaged in transit via UPS. I took it to the body shop and it was deemed unrepairable.
Surprisingly I took my original damaged honda fender to the shop and they were able to work their mojo and repair it.

I had requested that the shop repaint my front and rear bumpers and I also asked to have the front license plate holes shaved but the owner of the shop forgot to do so. He apologized and gave me a discount and wants me to bring back the car next week so he can finish the job. Unexpectedly the shop also repainted my hood which I'm actually happy about now that the little rock chips and scratches are covered. :)

While the color match is perfect, the shop is going to do a little more color sanding to minimize the orange peel on the new paint.

As far as the G8 is concerned I purchased myself the GXP diffuser.

Before with standard GT diffuser:

After with GXP diffuser:

A few decent shots of the G8. With the GXP diffuser out of the way now its time to start saving up for the Corsa Exhaust.
