Hey everyone! I bought my 2001 base honda prelude about a year ago (July 18, 2008) and I wanted you all the check out what I have done to it in the past year. I have gotten a lot of great ideas and feedback through this site and thought I would share with you all what I have done. Hopefully to inspire and get some good feedback on what you guys think of her so far. Mostly everything has been cosmetic beside a few engine upgrades and some routine maintenance. I will post the pictures of it when I bought it and the progress to what it currently looks like! I own and operate a small car and limo detailing company in Raleigh, NC and am currently a Business Marketing major so I work on my prelude in my spare time, and love every minute of it. Although I have spent about $6,000 on mostly cosmetics and few engine upgrades, they are coming next :D Will be doing some powder coat work and engine upgrades next! damn car looks amazing. doing a great job so far. do you plan on powercoating the sway bars as well? I think that would set it off pretty well. i'd finish off the lip kit too. and that kenwood hu looks absolutely amazing

Omg i love everything you've done to your lude. Alot of the same stuff i wanna do i just dont have the money yet or don't really know how to do it =P

it looks ok... IMO. if i had 6K.. ish would be gone of the line,rather than all that bling.

Thanks so much man. I will eventually powder those as well. taking them on and off is a Biatch tho. I am thinkin about getting a OEM front lip soon but am wondering if it will look too low compared to the other parts of my kit. what do you think? PS I LOVE that kenwood in dash!

thank you brother, I used meguiares plastic x with a dremil tool with a polishing wheel on it. i have a picture up of when i taped off the area and did it. it take patience but is worth it man. again thanks for the comment!

yes I have done a lot of planning and working on it

the headlight restore was worth every second of work!

most of the things i have done are really simple man. the most difficult was the painting but you just gotta have patience with it! thank you again man

thanks man. It right now is my daily driver so engine upgrade will come in another year when i buy another car after i graduate college. I have a turbo kit, piston work, and other upgrade planned but then realized I wanted to keep that simple until i dont have to drive it everyday. its still pretty fast tho!

OEM front and rear would finish it off nicely. just the front though wouldn't look too low imo.

yea that is what I figured man. If I can get both at the same time, then great, otherwise for money reasons I might just but the front lip for now and paint it. I still have some left over from painting the sides and rear skirts

That's an assload of pictures, but, it's clean nonetheless. Tastefully modded. I can't say I'm a fan of the blue lighting however, and I'm almost positive it's illegal in all states.

Not to be a grammar nazi (which I am), but it's a header bro. Not plural.

I'm not a big fan of the 5th gen, but the mods and attention to detail that you have put in this car is amazing. I find myself going back up and looking at the pics so I acn find more detail..... lol!
It truly is all about the little things, and you, my friend, have that DIY Skill!

Love the "showmanship" of the colored LED's in the turns and running lights. Those ARE only for show right? I can imagine how fast the Po-Po would be on you if they flashed anything other than Amber.
