will do man, i am currently still changing all my interior bulbs (just need to know what the shifter lightbulb size is and thats it), then probably the short ram intake, then maybe the rota rims and not sure on what tires. thanks to Irish Luder for her help and advice with the Rota rims.

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

how do you like that iPod hook up right on the head unit? I have an Alpine head unit that hooks up to my iPod too and I love it! No more CDs! Good choice on the exhaust, hope you get started soon and start modding that thing.

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

i love it man, i had one in my eclipse for my poineer headunit and i needed on in my lude. i'm in the process of modding and was about to buy my intake about 5 mins ago before i'm curious if the AEM V2 is short ram or cold air? if anyone could answer me, i'd appricate it. but on a good note, i just ordered the rest of my bulbs ^_^

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

I am pretty sure all AEM V2 intakes are short. From the research I did when I ordered mine about a year ago all I found were short V2's, but someone else might want to confirm that.

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

it looks like its in between, its a short ram then i'll probably get it cause i dont want to risk getting a CAI since Jersey gets a decent amount of rain. if someone can verify to me that it stays in the engine bay then i'll be buying it by tomorrow night

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

yeah mine is pretty long compared to other regular short ram intakes. but it sits right in the engine bay. I wish I could tell you 100% that all V2 intakes are short but im only like 90% sure :( Here is it in my engine bay, its long, but still sits all in the engine bay.

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

all V2's are short ram.

don't worry about CAI's and hydrolock. i've had my AEM CAI for 5 years now (1 on the accord, 3 on the N/A prelude motors, plus its been my turbo intake as well) with NO bypass valve, daily driven, jersey roads, even take my car snowboarding, with no problems at all. don't worry about it, just don't drive like a dumbass aiming for lakes and rivers.

btw where in jerz??

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

the oil pan is still sitting in my spare bedroom. the holes didnt line up, it wasnt made of the same metal, and the oil pan on my lude was fine (my buddy peeled off the silicon and found no crack, idoits at monro tried dicking me over). not building an engine, yet lol id like to have a house before i did that.

V2 are short ram. a buddy of mine used to have a cold air and it doesn't sit in the engine bay. his piping went down further. he had to cut a bigger hole to put the piping through

yes our cars will be sisters soon lol id back up into spaces but alot of the times im in a rush or just too lazy. I havent hit a curb in awhile so i'm not sure if i'm going to do a lip kit. I'm not really into modding the body but i do like the look of lip kits, growing on to me. We'll see down the road before it goes into get painted. Thanks ATTBMLude1998, i'm definately going to keep this updated it and i'll get new pics after i install the window visors and V2 i'm ordering today at lunch

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

Honestly, when I owned my lude (sold it a few weeks ago), I loved it. Had it installed before my exhaust and it had a real nice sound. I love a silent, deep bass tone and the intake definately falls under what I like lol I also loved my apexi exhaust. I never had my lude tuned and dyno'd after it so I don't know about the gains, but the V2 is the best choice next to the Type S intake. Want a nice sound plus the best gain for a bolt on, id say get the V2.

Cool! I think I might really go with the v2 intake. Theyre a bit pricey though, about $300

Re: :::NJFreekshow::: 2000 Base

Jaycid, i spent close to $400 if not maybe a bit more when I bought mine. Do what i did, find a place that is the cheapest (take the time to search) and then do a search on online coupons, i saved like $80 (shipping and actual price).

JDMPrelude23, thanks, the lights were ALL suppose to be blue and then the dome light was bright white and the map lights were red...looked really nice. if you do it, make sure you get the right bulbs the first time around and dont cheap out cause if you do blue youll need a nice output.
