Now that looks like a fun car. Are you still running factory suspension and brakes? I'd be looking to upgrade them soon.

Yea I am. Money is a bit of a factor right now, but hopefully soon. I took it for a spin for the first time today cuz we just finished it. Unbelievably i didn't come across any problems. Ton of fun to drive too

Re: :::H22Driver::: 1986 w/ H22 swap

I am currently doing the same engine swap. i have a 1986 2.0 si prelude that i am going to put a h22a4 engine into. i just am having issues trying to find a shop to do the swap for me. so i am going to do it myself. any info on what you had to do to get it installed correctly would be greatly appreciated. what motor mounts, cv axels did you have to modify them or do they make a set for this swap. ect

Re: :::H22Driver::: 1986 w/ H22 swap

Wow it's been so long! I haven't even been on this forum in years, but pretty cool to see someone else attempt this swap. For the motor mounts we used the H22 mounts but we had to modify them to fit. I had to get the cv axles cut and balanced to fit. The other big challenge was engine fitment. We had to cut into the chassis rails in the engine bay. You don't want to take away from the structural integrity so make sure to reinforce the rails. We welded in some ribs to make it stronger. To be honest it was an incredible challenge and a miracle it actually worked. If you do go through with it just know that there are a lot of obstacles to overcome. That being said, you'll have the craziest sleeper in town if you pull it off. Send me some pics and updates if you do it. I'd love to see it. Good luck!
