Door speaker confusion

So I don't know much about car audio. Other then the simple sub installation and stuff like that. But my door speaker on my drivers side only works when my door is completely open. When I start closing my door it cuts out. Any ideas? Anything helps! Like I said, I'm a noob when it comes to audio

Re: Door speaker confusion

Do you have a 5th gen? There is a point where wires are separated at a clip at the door in the 5th gen. For what ever reason wires break at that connector, usually starting with that speaker. Then it's the driver side lock, then passenger side mirror....
Not that hard to repair unless it broke inside the connector pin.

^^ this was mine a year ago.

Yup I do have a 5th gen. Thanks for the reply! I'll look at that today.
