rear speaker help

i can not figure out how to remove my rear speaker covers on my 4th gen. ive pulled, twisted, pried... you name it and i cant get it off. how dose it come off

You should see the 4 little clip points poking through the deck if they are factory covers. Unless somebody glued them down a door panel tool should pluck them up.

Some after market covers screw down to the inside to cut down on ability of a theif to grab speakers without opening the trunk.
