need info on gear shifter

I just purchase this prelude and had the clutch replaced with a OEM parts. The problem I'm having is that some time i can't go in to 1st gear or reverse and when i cruse on the highway about 70mph in 5th gear the stick shift pop out of gear......have anyone have this problem? if yes, how did you fix it.....i'm thinking it might have some thing to do with the shift linkage.....any info is greatly appreciated....

it sounds like the shifter linkage is off or the tranny is just about gone. Adjusting shift linkage is pretty easy. Follow the helms manual to do it. You can find it online if you dont have one. Basically, remove center console and theres adjusting nuts on the linkage.

update: car wont' go into gear and when i let go of the clutch pedal the car dies....any one have this problem? ....is there a free online hanyes manual?

ooohh... sounds alot like your problems are on the other end of the spectrum from shifter cables..
Sounds like you have issues with your slave cylinder or thereabouts. I am willing to bet you have some nice free play in the clutch pedal which can be adjusted up at the top of the pedal through an adjusting nut. Then, it seems as if your going to need to bleed your clutch fluid and possibly replace a leaking master or slave cylinder for the clutch if it comes down to that.

i checked the cluthc reservoir and it is full.......this coming weekend i'm just going to check everything starting with the shifting cables , clutch if i still can 't find the problem i will just drop the trans ....... thanks for all your help....
