6-Pad Clutch discs?

So I'm looking at replacing my clutch because mine's pretty worn down (getting close to 130k mi.) and the throwout bearing is making this annoying squeaking noise. Does anybody have any experience with 6-pad clutch discs? Would it be overkill to get one instead of a street disc? My engine is stock (only bought the car a few months ago) except for an Injen CAI and Tanabe Hyper-Medallion Exhaust, but I'm looking at new pulleys, headers, intake manifold, cam gears and a new cam shaft, and potentially, over-sized pistons, all to be done in the next 5-6 months. So any advice? I'm mechanically savvy, but fairly new to automotive mechanics (gotta learn sometime right?), so don't hold back; you can't over-simplify with me.

6 puck is overkill for what you have.

for I/H/E + other bolt-ons, i wouldn't go any higher than a stage 2.

That's what I was thinking, but I can't seem to find anyone that's actually experienced a 6-pad. I'm not worried about driveability or price (it's only around $50-100 more than a street disc anyway), I want to know if its going to be any danger to my stock transaxle and if the torque gain is worth it.

your not GAINING any torque. your just increasing the amount of torque the clutch can handle.

Yeah, I should have worded that better. I meant the difference between the torque handling of a street disc and a 6-pad as in handling 20-50% versus 20-80%, but from what I'm gathering, as long as I stay NA I probably won't need anything above a stage 2 like you said. Thanks.

hmmm, i just saw you put pistons in your mod list. a stage 2, or POSSSIBLYYYY a stage 3 would be good if your even considering doing internal work.

i bought my stage 1 clutch like a year before even CONSIDERING going boost, but she has about 26,000 miles on her, and on her third motor

3rd motor? My sympathies friend, you must have either very bad luck or drive like I do. Yeah, the over-sized pistons depend on the jobs I'm pulling in towards the end of the summer, but I'm thinking I'll be able to stick with a stage 2 for at least a year, at which point I'll reassess my clutch needs.

1st was 100% my stupidity.
2nd was 1/2 bad luck, 1/2 stupidity. i know i shoulda listened to my mom when she said "shouldn't you install a new timing belt since the motor is outta the car anyway???"

but yea, i think a stage 2 should suffice for what you got planned.
