JDM Digital Climate Controls

Im thinking about buying one on ebay.

Does anybody have this installed on their car? and would you happen to have a pic of how it looks turned on?

I want to buy it but I don't know if I need anything special as far as wiring goes.

Anybody have any knowledge on this? thanks.

Is it just the face? If so, you need a lot more than that, you need temperature sensors, a different computer I believe too, as well as wiring.

I plan on doing this soon but I deal with a guy that specializes in JDM equipment, he priced me around $300 for everything I'd need. I believe it looks almost, if not exactly the same as the second to last generation Acura CL, i.e. the '97.

Your getting yourself into a world of wiring and pains, lol. There are a few people on here (ogsmakdade is one i believe) that installed the JDM climate control on their car, and said that it took at least a week and alot of beer

Damn, I guess I'll stick to what I got. I did read somewhere just now where you have to wire up some actuator motors and what not for the temp control. Damn, that sucks.

Yeah, it's a pretty involved process, one I don't plan undertaking my self. The shop I plan on having it installed at said it would take about 3-days and $500.

I love my car however and plan on keeping it for close to another 10 years and getting an engine swap ('09 TSX K24 btw) before I'd get another car, it's always cheaper to fix/upgrade your current car rather then buy a new one, especially in my case.

Yea, I wish it wasn't so hard as well, those climate controls are really freakin cool, and im not that electrically inclined, but i would be down for the beer part of it all. I am VERY beer drinking inclined

You could just do what most of us would do -- start the project and then give up and drink beer!
