Cat Delete

I was just wondering if anyone makes cat delete pipes for preludes. I read somewhere that it is legal for cars 15 yrs or older to not have cats. And since mine is a 92......i was just wondering.

it's actually illegal for a car not to have a catalytic converter(in most of the continental United States). Some states dont require one, such as South Carolina, Florida etc.

Why delete the cat? are you trying to further pollute the Earth?
if you want to, just go to a muffler shop and tell them to delete the cat and just weld in a pipe in its place(get ready for the noise and the awful smell). But if you are sensible and care about acid rain(harming my Prelude and yours) you'll get a high-flow catalytic converter.

I'm running a CatCo Catalytic converter.

No street legal high flow will pass a sniff test.

There are different inspections for each state.

Some states have no emission laws completely.

Some states require you to atleast have a cat. No matter what kind. Stock, High Flow, etc.

Then others have very strict inspections where they actually get a mesurement of how much CO is actually coming out of the exhaust. Only stock exhaust will pass this kinda test usually. Meaning the High Flow is OUT...

^^ let me guess, cali is that state huh? Thats why I love my car being registered in vegas. They connect something to the ECU, start the car up, let it idle for a few mins and that's it.

I haven't had a cat in my car for ages, but in south carolina it is illegal to take a cat off a car that comes with one but there are no emissions tests and you know that a fat cop isn't going to get down on his belly to look under my car to see if there is one there!

I think the whole "global warming" thing is bull**** anyway, the environment has taken care of itself for ages and will continue to do so. Any claims by political figures or from interest groups are just there to take your minds and your focus off of the real issues. And they're making a **** load of money off of all the retarded tree huggers who pay 8 bucks for a veggie burger instead of 5 for something with an animal in it. Besides that, thanks for the input. Oh, and i live in Arkansas, the state doesn't have emissions tests. These retarded rednecks down here all drive piece of **** cars that wouldn't pass.

global warming is bullsh1t, just another excuse to raise gas prices and hate on trucks/SUVs. although acid rain, smog, etc is pretty damn real. Nothin wrong with bein a redneck either they can survive anything, dont get them confused with 'sh1tters'

Anybody know if the Random Tech cat. is a bolt on? I'm thinking about getting one, but I haven't got any welding equipment at my disposal if it's not bolt on.
