Royal Purple

I was just wondering if anyone uses Royal Purple brand oil. My buddy runs it in his Evo 9 and i want to know if the benefits offset the cost. I think it's like 8 bucks a quart. Anyway..any feedback would be cool.

I love RB mainly b/c i get it for about $2.50 a quart got to love it when friends work at autozone. My engine seemed to run a lil cooler and seem to run a lil smoother. But for 6-8 buck a quart idk if it be worth it unless you have a built up engine or just can blow 50 buck on a oil change.

Mobil1 in my opinion and others is all hype. Why not spend another $5-$10 more for an oil change and get yourself some Amsoil, it's the best there is, proven on the track and on the charts as well. Amsoil is a true full synthetic, where as the Mobil1 is still dyno based (correct me if I am wrong).

But Amsoil is also better than RP, I have done a lot of reading and Amsoil is always on top. I used to use Mobil1 and Castrol on my Cavalier, but never in my Prelude.

In order of choice from first to last: Amsoil > Royal Purple > Mobil1 > Castrol.

fully synthetic mobil 1 is probably the best oil...in the world...a bit like guiness

I wouldn't compare any oil to Guinness but I use Quaker State. I used Castrol in my first Lude.
They're all about the same, besides the price. There maybe a few exceptions but Mobil full synthetic is basically the same as Valvoline or Castrol. Amsoil and MAYBE RP might be slightly different but not enough for me to spend that much money on an engine with 130K miles.
