Icon11 cracked tranny housing

like 3-4 months ago i was tightening what i thought was the tranny drain bolt, and i KNEW i shouldn't have given it that extra tightening, but i did anyways and cracked the housing.

so about once a month i hafta glob RTV/silicone/gasket maker around the crack which does the job for about a month, then it starts leaking again.

anyone got any fixes for this?
can the housing be welded? whats it made of?

JB WELD FTW he had an old trunk it had a crack on the block and jb weld fixed it up just nice ran for a year like that with no problems. Also quick steel works good its like jb weld but its like silly puddy and well set up in about 30 mints.

haha omg I'm in trans class right now and we just talked about this. Anyways the bell housing can be welded to fix it properly, a strong epoxy like jb weld might hold. I'm assuming manual trans, but for anyone with an auto trans reading this looking for help, if its in a low pressure area jb weld will hold and if its in a high pressure area of the case... youre screwed basically, get a new case.
