if you get someone who's by the book, no; because he will check for the eo tag.

As for passing smog, I am 99% sure it will, unless I am totally off, but not having a CARB sticker can end up with you getting a ticket, as said by either someone on this forum, or another online car forum.

eo stands for exemption order. for after market parts that have passed carb, they get an eo tag. sometimes, it's just a sticker, like my original injen sri. my injen cai that i bought later on was a tag... don't remember if it's plastic, and i'm too lazy to go to the garage to check. dc has them stamped on to their headers. but bottom line is, if the after market part performs at stock or better level, they get the eo tag. the carb sticker is used for when a car goes through an engine replacement.

I have to hold on to so many of my oem parts just to swap back on for inspection. It seems like a waste to hold on to them all year for one hour of use, but hey you gotta do what ya gotta do.

damn emmissions laws are really strict in the states.. we dont have to worry about all that crap down here.

you can buy smoke of that smoke treatment stuff for your fuel tank. just put in a full can and run it for half hour before taking it to an emmissions test. that should do the trick

PA isnt too bad. NJ is pretty bad..I saw a lude in the junkyard because it didnt pass NJ emissions.. but Cali is definitly the worst
