Icon5 got a problem with headlights

ok so i am looking for hid kits, but having trouble on figuring out what lights i got. my car had a jdm swap so i dont know if they changed the harness too. bought it with the swap done already. anyway i pulled out a light and it was a lil 1/2in light that said h3 12v, which i dont get because if it was the jdm harness it would say h1 or h4 right? i think it might have the jdm harness just because it was an h and not numbers. can someone please help me?

HL. on my car now- they are 1/2in connected to a metal plate which goes into the 2 grooves(top and bottom) and a metal latch locks em into place behind the plate. the plate has wires that run into the actaul assumbly, and then a rubber circle pops over the bulb to seal up the actaul bulb and wires. The hids look a lot bigger than what i got now, but it looks like they come with the rubber on the wire already to seal up the enclosure, is that right?

hmm, it DEF sounds like you have JDM headlights, which like you said are H1 and H4 bulbs. H3 bulbs are foglight bulbs.

the JDM motor swap and engine harness are in no-way connected to the headlights, so thats not a factor here.

maybe someone put the wrong bulbs in your headlights, but they just so happened to work?
if you wanna get HID's for just your lowbeams, get a kit for H4's

*edit* nvm. forget everything i just said. if they're ebay projectors, it's anybody's guess what bulbs they are

oem jdm headlights are once piece. the fact that you said they're not already tells me they're not oem jdm. so you either have oem edm or ebay replicas.
