4th gen finally under construction

whats up? im new to this site and just signed up last night. i had my prelude for 4yrs now but because of some unfortunate bad luck it has been sitting for a while. now i am finally fixing it all. i love this car since i got it but had problems since day 1 b/c of the previous owner. engine is straight, but wiring needed a lot of help no idea what this guy did. but now that i saved up n gas is outragous i decided to fix it up again, also love the speed (driving a pathfinder right now ). so far i ripped out the dash painted some plastics, rewired everything, change to blue led gauges, and am putting custom interior in once it goes out for painting. since the stereo never turned off with the car, i rewired it according to the repair manual but have yet to try it out. i could never find the acc wire, n every time i tried hookin it to what the manual said the acc is it never worked so i am hoping it will work now.

i can get all the parts i need for a decent price, but i wanted to know if anyone has a set of grilles and maybe a wing west front lip, or any other lip for sale? the cheapest grilles i seen out there are like $80, and i think that price is crazy for 2 little plastic squares. if anyone knows where i can get a set for cheaper let me know. thank you

Is your dash still out? You ought to wire up a JDM climate control. They look really sweet.
The junkyard might have some nostrils. The 92-93 models have 1 bar in them and the 94-96 have 2. There's some on ebay that are open with mesh and they look good and unique IMO.

i would sell you the ones my girl had since shes sellin the car, the only problem is that in order to secure them, youd have to use wire because the bolts were stuck on there and when i tried to loosen them they broke.. anywho welcome to pz, if you have any questions im sure no one would mind answering them!

how much were you looking to sell the grilles for, and is it just the bolt that snapped? if its just the bolts ill just pick some up at home depot or something. no junk yards around here have them n im just looking for a good price.

i didnt even know about the jdm climate control, but it looks nice. got a website on where to get one, and has anyone had any problems with em?

Sweet... good to hear your fixin' her up. I had the same problem with my 4th gen. (previous owner didn't maintain the 'lude). Damn water pump rusted and ended up snapping my timing belt. She's been sitting for about 3 weeks while I save up and figure out my next plan of action. Valve-job or new engine... the possibilities.

I found you a good-looking write-up on installing the JDM Climate control if you decide to go through with it.

My bad... it wasn't a how-to write up. It was photo-documentation of someone who'd done it... Sorry bro. Skimmed it at first, actually read it just now.

You could try ebay for the grilles, they still run about $35 though, which is more then I would pay for them. good luck with climate control I heard its a real project, so you will have to let us know how that goes. Good luck with the restoration.
