nope, no need to drop the tank.
-remove the rear seats, and the cardboard carpet in the trunk.
-remove the cross-brace going across the back seats (if there is one in a 5th gen. i know there is in 4G's) a coupla 10mm bolts.
-remove the fuel pump cover with the phillips head screws.
-now, remember to releeve the fuel pressure ON THE FUEL RAIL with the 17mm banjo bolt. not @ the fuel pump.
-take the cover off, and undo the 2 connectors to the FP.
-get a rag and place it around the banjo bolt on top of the FP, (you did releeve the fuel pressure, right?) then undo that bolt and soak up the gas that sprays out. get some vice grips to take the fuel return hose off too.
-then theres like 10-12 10mm nuts holding the FP top on. after you get them off, you gotta lift and twist and turn the fuel pump in a thousand diff directions to get it outta the tank.
but once its out, replace the stock w/ the walbro, and repeat in the reverse process
