Now that i'm pretty sure i'll have to have my engine replaced, would it be a good idea to convert it from an automatic to a 5spd, what kind of cost would I be looking at, any advice?

u had the belt break on u didnt u. i would take off the head first before getting a new engine IMO it will cost u less and u really might not need a new engine

yeah the belt broke, and I was driving about 30-35 mph, and the thing is i'm not mechanically inclined, though I did change out a part related to the starter (near the engine) and i did correctly. thx for the advice i will see if I can try that, can't mess it up more, right?
