best way to clean...

whats the best way to clean rims...i have a set of ITR's that need to be cleaner...they are somewhat dirty...i've heard that gasoline works...that true..if so what would u recommend thanks

I'm no expert, but im sure gasoline would eff up the finish on the rims. Just get a simple wheel cleaner, a coarse brush for the really icky parts, and a soft toothbroosh for the little nooks and crannies (and maybe a sponge too, if thats what you fancy). Best thing to do would be to take the wheels off so you can get to the inside of rim with the cleaner. Get a lot of it, cuz you'll probably use a lot.

I'm not sure which wheel cleaner to recommend. I just used whatever my dad had in the garage at the time.

i tried meguiar's wheel cleaner. works alright without scrubbing, but obviously not as nice as a scrubbing it by hand.
