That should be incentive to fix it then. If nothing else, it can be your DD while you save up and build the Supra in the future. That's what I'm ultimately gonna have to do with the Lude while I build an FC. Then when i finish collegeand start work, I'll sell the FC, take out a big ass loan and go get a FD, like I've always dreamed.
If you plan long term, you'll come out a lot better. Patience is a virtue.

haha word. But I'd have to say theres a difference in our meanings of easy. You have to spend $30-40k on a 20 year old car to get 500rwhp OR you can buy a brand new mustang gt, get a turbo kit and be at 500rwhp for $30-35k.

the turbo gives wayyy better torque numbers compared to a SC, plus the bigger displacement gives more room for a bigger turbo with still a generally low spool.

But haven't you heard, turbos are ISH son! haha

not to thread jack but give me proof of where turbos numbers are consistently better than an sc on a v8 and i will believe you. the reason being that SC work better on V8's is that SC work better on the lower end of the rpm range where most of the v8 power is.most v8 dont have peak power at 5k+ rpm where turbos work best.

anyways i almost bought one exactly like u wanted for my 1st car. it was in perfect shape. i kick myself for not lol

^ it's really a moot point... the main advantage SC has over TC is a lack of lag. Other than that, they do similar things by different methods... I don't think SC's make "more low end power" than a TC, they just don't have to waste time spooling up like a TC, therefore the power is available sooner... and besides... you're right, V8's already have a good amount of power in the low end... so why add more down low when you can add more to the high end where (like you alraedy said) they don't have as much peak power, effectively smoothing out your powerband
