bmw side markers

is there any reason why a bmw sidemarker wouldnt work if you are cutting your own holes? i think they look pretty sweet and ive never seen anyone use different style side markers

As long as you cut the hole the right size and have to plug for them they'll work man. If you like them rock them.

Word.
I'd be curious to see this done actually. Pretty unique without going overboard.

take a look at the picture in the first link. see that metal tab on the left of the bottom side marker? that's the only thing that's holding it on the car for e46's. the ones on the m are different, and maybe even more flimsy. to this day, i still don't know how they stay on... because i can push on it with very little pressure, and they fall right off. just food for thought.

i think i will try this. i was kind of unsure about the one on the second link. but it is a completely different shape so i thought the uniqueness of it was cool.

are you saying you think it will be a problem mounting them?

nope. all i'm saying is on a e46 m3, they're easily taken off because it only uses one clip. so if the regular e46's use one clip just like the m's, go easy when you're cutting your fenders so you don't make the hole too big. like i think if the hole on the m's a little smaller, it won't be as easy to take the side markers off.

This is late in time thread but forgive me for reviving this up. I've been on the same thing as you before.what i did was that I've removed both of my sidemarkers twice already and slide them forward towards the headlights then use something to pry the back end and lift up while still pushing the light forward
