Cleaning Exhaust???

Ok pretty much i was wondering if there was any way to clean the inside of my Greddy exhaust. Its fine on the outside, but the inside is all black. I normally dont drive above 4000rpms so i think theres a build up of black dust? Because when i do floor it i've been told that little bursts of black dust comes out...lol I am guessing (hoping) that its just cuz its not clean. I was wondering if soap and water wud do the trick? Or shud i just shoot water into the pipe? haha i wanted to ask b4 i actually did that...

you can use an sos pad (with water) or never-dull. Wipe it with a microfiber if you got one...I wouldn't go shooting much more than a spray bottle's worth of water IN the piping. The tip will get dirty over the life of the exhaust though...

yea the carbon is the black stuff... those black puffs happen when VTEC kicks in pretty much right? its just VTEC burning anything from oil to more fuel to buring carbon off. A piece of that steel wool with the blue soap stuff in it, the stuff thats activated by water will do the trick, more than likely there is some under your sink haha... everyone has that **** for hard to scrub pans and pots... itll stay clean for about a week max, your choice

without any physical modding, you cant really. You can however clay bar deposits off, then apply a good synthetic wax (polymer) to the lip and just maintain it with a microfiber towel & any "quick wax" or never start the car (-;

Well...i mean, I'm into washing and waxing my lude for hours on end, but cleaning the inside of your exhaust pipe? its like putting tire shine on the tire tread, or waxing the undercarriage...Aint that a bit overkill?

either leave it because it will always be black on the inside.

or

unbolt your catback, and spray wheel cleaner, dish soap, really anything that can be used on metal, and get it in there and use some sort of pole with a rag on the end to scrub.

However, the engine burns carbon and it sticks to the inside of your exhaust, any car does that. Your problem is inevitable.
