Intake question

Hi all. I did some searching and I am getting mixed answers. I am looking to upgrade either the throttle body or intake manifold, not sure which would be more beneficial right now with my setup (FULL exhaust but only a CAI). I will upgrade both of course, and the fuel delivery as well afterwards, but between the two stated, which intake part should I upgrade first, or does it not matter and they both yield the same amount of few ponies I would gain? Thanks in advance!

Re: Intake question

The OEM IM and the OEM TB are built for each other. If you install a bigger IM, you're still gonna have the bottleneck of the OEM TB, and vice-versa. Even if you install both, your ECU's fuel mapping will not allow for hardly any gains on account of a little more air coming through the intake. The gains you can expect are probably <5HP, and you can expect not to feel it.

Now..TB, IM, header-back exhaust + a Tune? That's where your 30-40whp will happen.

Re: Intake question

Thanks man. Got it all but the two intake pieces and the tune.

Re: Intake question

Tb doesn't hold you back unless you do serious internal upgrades

Eh little bit over optimistic?
