Icon8 Check Engine Light


So my check engine light popped on. I had it scanned at auto zone it was popping for p0301 cylinder 1 misfire. i changed the plugs and wires. Went back and checked it, it was popping for multiple cylinder misfires. I need to get it smogged anyone have any ideas?

did you change the cap and rotor too? those are the obvious things. after that, i dont know. im not to keen on the ignition system.

doubt it... not for a misfire. the o2 sensor has its own code when it goes bad.

check out your cap & rotor for crusty contact points.

...you could have a stuck-open/bad injector?

I didnt even think to check for corrosion on contacts. I feel like an idiot, im a freaking aviation electronics tech in the navy, i have to check for coroded electronics/wiring all day. Thanks man. If it is a stuck-open injector what should i do? I am new to the prelude maintenance stuff. Got sick of paying out the ass for minor maintenance.

O YEAH one more thing that is probably a factor. The car sat for 6months while i was in the persian gulf, only ran one tank through it since ive been back

fill it up, reset the battery or try to clear the code back at autozone and drive for 600 miles or so...see if it helps...

I checked for corrosion on the contacts, i reset the codes did the plugs and everythings. Its still popping CEL. I took it in to my buddies shop, he is going to run a full diagnostic tommorow. I dont have time to deal with this S#$T i am getting ready to redeploy to the persian gulf so i am going to let them deal with it. I AM FRUSTRATED WITH MY LUDE RIGHT NOW. I also need to replace the damn subframe assymbly. Honda wanted 2300 bucks for it. ANyone know where to find that???????????????????
