which cam gears to get...

Ok so I am in the market for some cam gears, right now I am leaning towards bisimoto they seem very reliable and are reasonably priced. I dont rly want aem or skunk 2 they seem a little sketchy. I was just wondering what everyone else was using or had experience with. The only thing i dont like about bisimoto so far are the colors lol but i guess that shouldnt be my final decision. lemme know what everyone thinks!

What is the bet as far as tunability or are they all the same? I am sure skunk2's are fine but for some reason I just am not a big fan. Whats everyone else think?

Not the gears themselves.
They adjust the timing of the cams to allow for better low end or top end power, depending on what you're looking for. That explanation is in a nut shell though.

As long as they're not the old AEM 3 bolts, you'll be fine. Most people want 5 or 6 bolts. I've got 4 and I haven't had any slippage the whole time I've had them

I guess I meant, does your engine rev faster due to being lighter?

because they are lighter, your engine should rev faster. but i bet a normal person couldn't tell the difference between an engine with stock gears and a engine with a set of lighter gears. (same engine of course)

Dude, personally...I recommend that you dont get ONLY cam gears...If you're planning on upgrading the entire valvetrain later, then why not wait, or get cams, springs, gears, and retainers while you have the heart ripped open. Just my .02
Word.

I got Skunk2's by the way. BOW!

I have cams and an upgraded valvetrain and i need to be able to tune them so I guess I am asking what is the most tunable. I think I have pretty much decided to go with bisimoto.

Anyone know about the JUN cam gears. It seems the skunk2 and AEM are widely used. How do the JUN compare.

From what I've heard and read, JUN are the same...but twice as expensive. But I'm no expert.

just the cams by themselves are about 1400 bones. I got my entire valvetrain for just over that.

Something with 5 screws instead of 4 or less for adjustment.
