cleaning hasports mounts

I've got a '92 civic hatch back with an h22. the motor mounts that were used for the swap are Hasports. The mounts are so old that the urethane has melted. Does anyone know hoe to clean the gunk off. I haven't tried yet, and was hoping for suggestions. I will keep everyone posted as to anything that works or what works best for me. Thank for the suggestions.
