Ok, so I'm revisiting this idea again and again. In my head it plays out just great. I have a 4th Gen Prelude. I want to scrap the H22A and move up to the bigger and better NISSAN RB26DETT or RB25DET and take the S2K drivetrain and swap it to the lude. I've looked at the engine bay and my buddies skyline engine bay, and all in all, it looks close to the same amount of room give or take a few inches. In doing this I know all the work that is going to have to be done, probably cutting out some of the firewall, making it RWD, adding xmission crossmembers, mounts, custom manifolds, exhaust IC piping etc. But I think I'm ready, it's going to take a while, getting ready to get deployed to iraq so that's 15 months of nothin but makin bank. Just thought I'd leave my thoughts on here, feel free to leave any feedback.

why make it a pita and use the s2k drive tain maybe the rearend but not the tranny I would use a rb35 tranny if I was you. Also the s2k diff is made out of glass so to speak so like the guy that was putting in a ls1 I would use the rxz rearend. Good luck on it all

yea, I'm definately gonna use the RB25 xmission, don't think the s2k tranny would mount up to the RB25/26 anyway, I just meant rear axle wise, and would have to change the diff anyways to a sturdier LSD diff. I'm waiting for SGP racing in houston to get back with me about doing it, and possibly even get a sponsor out of it

2jz, I thought about it, but I like the sound of saying "yea, its a rb26dett, for all of you that don't know what it is its a skyline engine" that, and I just love the sound of rb26dett, it just rolls of your tongue, so great

oh trust me I'll have pics, but its gonna be a while, cuz I won't be able to do it till after I get back from iraq, which won't be for another 15 months. Hopefully though everything will go right, but we all know how that works, when you want everything to go right, that's when everything imaginable goes wrong lol

I would bet you if I didn't have my hear set on it lol. I'll post a price estimate when SGP performance calls me back so I can talk to them about all the work and stuff.

or I could just lose my mind and go all out insane and just put an r34/r33 front clip lmao, but that probably won't happen, well scratch the probably it won't happen lol but it would be insane, have a RHD prelude/skyline hybrid, I already have a RHD BMW so that wouldn't be new :)

If you want a RB engine, buy a 240, drop it in there or import a Skyline.
It'd be hard and expensive enough to put one in an S2K, even with it already being RWD.
