Icon5 ECU Question

I recently scored myself a h22a engine that had recently been rebuilt with oversized type s pistons and type s cams, i planted that engine into my 93 prelude and just finished all the wiring, plugging and so on. I checked the timing on the cam gears and it was perfect, i also made myself a little ground kit running extra grounds just as a precaution and because i had the time. Now since the car has been sitting with a full tank of gas for a year and so waiting for the new engine ( Misshifted the old h22a1 on the highway, it had 384000 kilometers so it was time for a fresh engine anyway) , so tonight i am sucking out the old gas and filling it up with some fresh super. My only question i would like to solve before turning the key is whether or not it will be safe to run my h22a type s on a h22a1 stock ecu? I realize i will need to have it tuned and i am planning on bringing it to the dyno withing the next few weeks but can i safely start this engine on the old ecu? And could i drive my car to the dyno? Or should i load it up on a trailer and haul it there to be sure? If anyone here knows a good amount on the ecu's and their compatibilites id appreciate it!

Re: ECU Question

Honestly, I don't see why it would hurt anything. The maps for the H22A and A1 probably aren't drastically different.

Re: ECU Question

You're not planning on tuning with a P13, are you?
