5th gen tranny in a 4th gen?

hey all im new to the forum but i really need bad help...my car was driving just fine when....my 5th gear started popping out....once every 45 mins...then after couple seconds...so i parked the lude and didnt touch it for the night...the next morning when i started it...i was on neutral...and when i just droped the clutch it did a horrible noise....and then a whinning sound and i i wasnt able to put gears on they where all blocked...and though....the night before when i parked it it was perfect....so i decided to find a new tranny...but i bought a 5th gen tranny m2u4...the garage guy told me id have to change only one part( sorry i dont really speak english) that costs 450$ .....or should i take no risk and repair my tranny...cause i cant find any anywhere...wich costs over 1200( bearings and 3-4 5 th synchros.... btw i dont know how it all broke so...can a 5th gen tranny possibly fit in my 92 lude? or is it not recomended?

Synchrotech - Honda & Acura Transmissions

Or any f and h serie tranny will work unless its from sh/have atts

New clutch is recommended too..

Is it $450 for just the part(s) or does that include labor?

Try car-part.com to see if you can find a used one with a decent shipping cost.

Re: 5th gen tranny in a 4th gen?

it was 450 plus tax for the part and he told me 400-500 for labor and oil...i found a new tranny btw...the retards at tranny garage charged me 380$ simply to open it....if theyde put parts and reclosed it id be ruined....
so now it costs me bout 500 for labor and 450 a new tranny...plus the sh tranny i bought for 250 wich is useless....i should have my new tranny in a week now...its been sitting in front of my house since june first....im pissed off of driving a 2000 toyota corolla....
