flashing lights... lots of flashing lights

so I hopped in my car today drove my GF to work and i noticed my CEL light came on. when i went to go pull codes i noticed my CEL was on, My ABS and my D4 light was on. i pulled codes from all three, code 70 CEL, 16 ABS and a 47 D4. i drive a automatic 2001 se vtec, while driving i noticed my car almost would'nt shift. as in i would drive i would shift into 2nd and thats it. i would be driving 60 kmh at almost 4000 RPM, when i tthought maybe it was just goinf a little high i went a little fast and got up 70 kmh and almost 6000 rpm. i slowed right down and went as slow as i could the rest of the way home. i tried switching to the manual thing they have there too (Idk what its called) anyway that wouldnt work at all! please help me. this isnt the first time my CEL came on. last time it was random misfires and i fixed it for under 100$ but i have a feeling this one is gonna empty my pockets. please excuse my spelling but i have not been this mad in a long time.

P.S. i have already checked electrical connections to transmission and checked fluid. after i didnt find anything, i gave up

5G auto tranny failure. Pretty common problem. There are plenty of posts about this problem. Just do a search and some reading.

you began at a good place... a forum for owners, enthusiasts, mechanics, DIYers, master techs, etc, all who either own or have owned preludes. And have probably turned more than a wrench or 2 on our cars.

however, to get the knowledge everyone here has to offer you, we ask for you to do your own research before continuing to ask questions. this is a common problem, but even if not, researching your own problems will bring you more knowledge on cars and youll find yourself looking up more and more on other topics that dont relate to your problem, just for the fact you find it interesting. and then one day youll have that problem and be like hey, i remember this...

its great. I love working on cars, diagnostics is a love-hate relationship for me, unless it goes smoothly, but not often is diagnosing something so smooth on cars with how advanced they are nowadays.

OR you can be the nagger, that nags and nags for answers, and never truly learns anything......

sorry for rambling on, i love cars, love teaching people things about cars, i love seeing people take initiate to learn, and hate seeing people not....
