Fuel Filter or Fuel Pump? YOU DECIDE!

I am leaning towards fuel filter.. could be a combination however.

94 Si h23 5 spd with 194k 99% stock

When the fuel tank is low the car some times will take an extra crank to fire off if I don't let the fuel pump prime all the way. The car doesn't have any idle issues or problems once it is running, but it just hiccups on start up if the tank is low.

What do you think?

Oh
My
God

Dylan, you're never supposed to let your fuel get so low. The pump uses the gas as a lubicant and coolant. If the pump sucks in air, you'll wind up siezing the pump.

Stop doing that

The tank doesn't get that low. I never let the gas light turn on.

Re: Fuel Filter or Fuel Pump? YOU DECIDE!

Ok, lol

Prime your engine first leave it one step before Start (Acc On?) for 2-3 seconds and see if that helps the "choking"

Also clean out your tank of "sediments" dunno how they get there, but they do

Re: Fuel Filter or Fuel Pump? YOU DECIDE!

Yeah I do prime it most the time, some days I get in a hurry. I prime it a lot more during the winter as well.
