Re: lagging hesitation

i used to have a hesitation where it would take a second then like jump up to power, and i just had to clean my IACV. it is very simple, on your throttle body, on the front of it, there is a valve with some coolant lines going to it. there are 3 bolts holding it on. remove that, then there is a screen on it which needs to be cleaned out most likely. spray the whole thing out and let it dry. (using carb and choke cleaner, or some petrol based solvent that will evaporate quickly)

then when you install it, it should be good.

valves that often need cleaning that could cause hesitation are IACV, FITV, and EGR. the EGR valve is very easy to clean out, but should be throwing an engine light if it has insufficient flow.

FITV is on the bottom side of the throttle body, right where the intake goes in, it is more difficult to clean. do your research. i got mine halfway apart, and a head broke off a screw, so i put it back together and havent had issues since luckily

edit: i don't remember if the IACV has coolant lines or vacuum lines going to it. i did it nearly a year ago

Re: lagging hesitation

you have to search around, there was a honda service thing that had the part number of the new egr plugs. when i went to the honda dealership they had no idea what i was talking about, we looked at engine diagrams, i went out to my car to show them what i needed, and they had no clue. they said i had to do it custom. I don't remember the part number, but that dealership had 9 plugs in stock (you need 6) and i bought them all, which ended up being only a couple dollars

Re: lagging hesitation

So today I started in on the lude . Fixed oil leak on coolant oil filter thing lol . I cleaned egr again praying it would help but I new it wouldn't . I was going to the store and check engine light came on , now a lot of us would so wtf now but I got excited thinking it was what was wrong . Code was 1 c02 sence changed it with a ngk one and couldn't wait to drive it but ofcoarse it didn't help . I'm lost and no more cel codes . Everyone says clean the intake but u can see where someone must have done it at one point because instead of puting plugs back in the put some kinda crap over them or honda did a crap job finishing it up not sure someone help please please before I put a bomb in the car and make it fly off a cliff
