Sputtering problem

Alright I've just recently purchased a 1987 prelude si. Great car an all only thing is there's a acceleration problem of some sort. In neutral if I have my foot holding the accelerater the rpms will go up but while my foot is still on the pedal the rpms will die down and then bog until I take my foot off. In gear the car head bang sputters while trying to accelerate but after the back and forth motion and no get to a good speed there's no problems at all. I've done a tunuo hoping that would be the answer to the problem but it wasn't. I don't know what to the I for and I don't want to spending modding money on unneccesary parts trying to self diagnostic.

Re: Sputtering problem

When you go to start the car your cel should illuminate briefly every time.

Okay then the lights have to be burnt out. The CEL doesn't flash I don't think I've even ever seen it on. I did a test the other day to see if I had the car running and unplugged a fuel injector plug if the car would try to die or stay the same. Every injector when unplugged tried to kill the car, so I believe that means that the injectors are good?? I don't know what could be wrong still
