Chipped p06 flashes d4 runs irratic, intermently

Hey guys im back after 4 years!
Long story short ive been busy.
Even opened up a speed shop out of Albuquerque NM.
We do full on retail and CAN BEAT EBAY 9 times out of 10 on just about every tuner brand out there. check us out https://www.facebook.com/pages/South...30883303593710

What brings me here today guys is i am working with a 93 prelude w/ auto h22
was running a p14 ecu instead of just getting my customer going with a correct p13 we went as far as to obtain a auto chipped p06 ecu.
got rid of the knock code and egr/02 issues all in 1 shot using my old base map from a ecTune dyno map. Everything worked extremely well except for one issue. When we key on the d4 light blinks a half dozen or so times. If we start the car (sometimes) while it is blinking (sometimes) it will start up piss pour running barely idling and will not shift out of first. we key on key off a few times blinks go away and it runs perfect shifts perfect just perfect.
We have observed the irratic behavior i would say 15% of the overall start up times on the p06
if we put the p14 back in there is no problems related to the trans at all.

Again its a 93 prelude that came factory h23. h22 was installed but the ecu was not changed out. Thats where i came in with a p06 auto ecu from advanced ignition. The tune is ecTune dyno written map from my old lude. i am 100% shure this is a auto ecu as well.

My suspicion is that the pinout for obd1 p06 auto is not the same as the obd1 h series ecus in relation to the automatic trans pins.
or the fact that the obd1 d series ecus dont have a separate tcm as the preludes do? I have like 25 pages of schematics spread out on my table here and cannot pinpoint the issue. whats bizarre is it will work perfectly 75% of the time.

any help is appreciated and if you have paypal you just might get a little bonus from me if a all out resolution using the current hardware can be found.

Big congrats on taking the plunge and starting a shop.

My son had a 95 chipped auto with a 96 h22 and there was a toggle switch that caused the ecu to think it was obd2. How? I don't know. But switch on, CEL gone, switch off, back on.

I'll touch base with him to see what was done there.... why not use a p13?
He's elspectro29 if you wanna pm him.

the engine and trans are deff obd1. being the car is two i am unclear on how the switch will assist with our issue... did the switch get rid of the d4 blinking issue?
