electrical problem

hello, i have a 2000 prelude and i store it for the winter, when i took it out of storage my dome light did not work on any setting, and when i opened my door my radio would go off, after more poking around i noticed my the accesories wire on my radio "red wire" did not have any volts no matter what setting i put my key to, i also noticed my power outlet "cigarette lighter" did not have any power either. i checked the all the fuses with a volt meter and all fuses were good, anyways i have my doubts that the problem is the power accesories relay is deceftive. so 1 i would like to know what this relay looks like and 2 where it is located exactly any help would be apreciated

Thanks

Re: electrical problem

the main fuse box under the hood has a fuse dedicated to all the systems you mentioned..

Re: electrical problem

Have you had your ignition switch replaced? There's a recall on that. Faulty wiring.

Other than the dome light, all other items described are activated when the ignition switch is forward.
Could be the bulb is burnt on the dome light.

Re: electrical problem

yes i was thinking the same thing about the light bulbs even though there is 3 it could happen so i put direct 12v power to the lights to test the switch on the dome light and it was working fine

Re: electrical problem

Diy section has repair manuals. Chapter 23(?) has all schematics.

Couldn't tell you how many times I found out what was what with it.

When I first got my 97 6 months ago I kept finding stuff unplugged or stuff missing. I bought a 10" computer to keep the pdf on. Comes in real handy when replacing stuff or need a drawing to guide me.
