traction bar pics

Looking to buy a traction bar for my 5th gen leaning toward explicit speed. Would like to see how it sits and looks in the engine bay. If anyone has pics of there's post it if possible .

Might as well go with innovations then they just don't have anything for a front mount

Innovative is good plus u dont gotta wait 2 to 3 month esp to get done. I have the innovative bar in mint shape if interested. If u get innovative mounts u really dont need front mount + u save up some space for turbo setup

Re: traction bar pics

Traction bar from eBay....don't I remember reading a comparison thread of the ESP traction bars vs. the eBay traction bars? The eBay bars use weak ass heim joints that are highly prone to failure.

Or maybe I'm just imagining this.

Re: traction bar pics

Ok im not one to buy ebay parts, and did much research on my own, my ebay traction bar is doing absolutly phenominal! lol I heard about the wait of esp and it turned me off from them bc I needed it ASAP if i could go back in time I wish I got the innovative one to be honest, only to match the motor mounts lol lame I know, but ESP claims of the ebay traction bar aren't entirly true they say it uses regular spray paint; however, mine came poweder coated, I then heard there welds do not penetrate well, so I didnt gamble on that part and took it to a shop and got all welded areas, re-welded and it looks bulky on the re weld but i told him lets make it last. also the heim joints etc. all seemed okay to my inspection didnt seem very cheap in my honest opinion and still after 1.5 years of messign with it no signs of play etc.... also upgraded all bolts with grade 10.8 boltsf rom home depot! so far so great and I can even jack the car up from the center point of the traction bar and it doesnt even bend. I can attest to all i've said... but still would like the innovative lol. and also thanks to cody (codyh) the measurments off his esp vesus my ebay traction bar. the esp front torque mount can be used with the ebay traction bar! my buddy i used to work with did it with his older 90's accord

p.s. this si the exact message I gave just last night answering this dude on a facebook prelude parts page, just wanted to add it here just to throw in my personal expirence with mine, hope it helps!

What? Sears still sells power welders. By the time its 2037 or nine months, you could've made yourself a hulk cage.

Avoid ebay bars, unless the store has a webpage and see the fabrication process.

"If english auction memo for bar traction reads good like this, ship worldwide, don't do it."

The innovative sits much further towards the front than even the ESP - how can you possibly fit the center brace on that? And that center piece is not a crossmember.

I own an ESP and have it installed. The DEPOG project car has an Innovative installed - so i've got both at my disposal to compare if need be.

Innovate Tbar and hasport rear mount vs Explicit - Honda Prelude Forum : Honda Prelude Forums read post number 14

I never said it doesn't, I simply asked how would it possibly reach when it sits so much further forward. Do you not see a question mark at the end of that post?

Since i've yet to see photos to back up this up, I said I have both at my disposal to compare.

Why shoot back with that kind of semi-hostial/smartass response for no reason when you have no experience let alone proof to back it up? Relax buddy

Re: traction bar pics

My sarcasm was fed by yours. From what n0rmal was telling me via facebook it comes with a bracket to make it fit ( I'm guessing due to it being farther forward. ) But really who cares it fits and is the main reason I will be picking it up ( no one likes a smashed oil pan and I know I bank that center brace off a few things. )

Re: traction bar pics

ebay it, find a friend with a welder, if no one has a welder go to a shop and they'll do it for like 30 bucks. spray the welds to keep from rusting in future, install. Done! mine is perfectly fine and is the same deminsions as the esp, I wish I could get samples of both metals and do a tensile strength test to truly see the difference, but I can literally jack my car up from the center point of the traction bar (the weakest point, esp since I have no front torque mount) and the bar doesnt bend at all, nor does it creek.) maybe its hit or miss which is why id still rather go innovative, the other cool thing about innovatives is on the rods where the heim joints connec t to the LCA to the actual tracktion bar, the one that bolts up to the LCA have bolt holes (rather than a second set of heim joints) which is better for less adjustment, less parts to fail, and an easier install, and you'll get it 5x faster than the esp bar. but if your on a budget, go ebay, if your not and want it fast innovative, if you want to sound cool and dont mind a 5 month wait at the least go ESP. or if your good at this stuff make it yourself. and to be honest with innovative 75A mounts, and ebay traction bar w/ no front torque mount, my car has aboslutly no wheel hop! the front torque mount would help obviously but if your worried about the front torque mount I wouldn't to much to be honest bc mine did fine even on the hardest of launches
