where does this wire go?

While I was driving today and about to get on the free way my battery light came on. Quickly pulled over to check what was up. Turn the car of and turned it back on and it went away. Popped up the hood to make sure everything looked ok and I noticed a wire that want connected to ****. For the dam of me I can't figure out where it goes. Here's a pic of it

Re: where does this wire go?

That's not a factory wire. Trace it out and figure out what it goes to.

For starting and other motor related issues, i suggest asking in the 3rd gen section.

It goes into the cabin. And it's not engine related so this is the right place

Battery light came on - that could be multiple things such as engine ground, alternator, or potentially an already known re-occuring issue within a 3rd gen prelude. Which is why I recommend asking in that specific section since you will receive more help from others that share the same car as your own.

For you to have the light come on, then proceed to shut the car down and restart it in order for it to go away - something is obviously not as it should be...

As for that wire - where in the cabin does it go to? Find the other end of it, unless you actually meant to say it goes into the cabin and just stops/ is capped off and goes to nothing.

Re: where does this wire go?

That looks like some kind of leftover from a removed aftermarket alarm riggage.

Re: where does this wire go?

Foglight kit relay. If the line touches chassis the battery light will come on, because you are draining the battery. Check the alternator for an extra red wire and the positive terminal for an extra red wire.

Those relays without the electronics or complete ground will give you all types of gremlins. If the harness comes out without problems and the battery light stops, good.
