plasti dip whole car

I've been wanting to do this for a while after I saw an Integra plasti dipped. So I think after I get my car parts for the damage when it was stolen I'm going to plasti dip my whole car.

I'm thinking of doing it blue or black. Now I've never messed with this stuff so I'm not sure what to expect.

If I decide to do it blue I think I'm going to do 2 coats of white then 2 coats of blue. And if black then just 3 coats depending on how it looks.

Now for anyone that has done this is there anything special to do before I pray it on? Out is it just wash car, let dry, spray ?

I know how much you guys like pictures so I'll be uploading them after I'm done.

Thanks for any advice!

Don't do two coats white two coats blue. Just do 4-6 coats blue. Are you thinking of doing it by gallons or cans? Matte finish? Awhatup?

Going to do it by the cans this time. May buy the sprayer later. Not quiet sure what a Matte finish is?

Only reason id do a coat of white before the blue is because I read that it makes the blue a littler more bright and helps it hold better. (read this off of dipyourcar.net)

Re: plasti dip whole car

Plasti dip paint jobs usually fall into one of two categories, depending on prep work, and overall skill of the guy spraying... horrible or fantastic. I like the look, personally. I think I'm gonna dip my 'lude once I get the cancer fixed, so it won't look like a bag of assholes while I'm accumulating funds to paint it.
