H22 Intake manifold gasket, and throttle body gasket .pdf outline / template

Hi, I was wondering if anybody on here can help me out. I've got a laser cutting machine, and was going to attempt to laser cut some new intake manifold and throttle body gaskets for my Prelude. I tried scanning the old gasket, and redrawing the lines around the ports, but it's hard to get the exact measurements.

Does anybody here have a .pdf or other image file of a to-scale outline of an intake manifold or throttle body gasket? I'm switching from the stock manifold to a custom port-matched intake manifold with 70mm throttle body, so that TB gasket might be harder to find.

If anybody can help me, please let me know. I'm also looking for the same gaskets for a B18 for a few other cars the shop. Just looking to save some money on gaskets, and help a few friends do the same. Unfortunately, I can only gut the composite (paper) gaskets, and not the metal ones.

Thanks,
Nick

Good luck in your quest.

Laser machine? Cool!!! You shouldn't have to buy anymore emblems.

It's pretty cool. I got an Epilog Helix 50W CO2 laser. I run a company from home called Colorado Laser Engraving. Anyway, I still haven't been able to find a template, so I may just have to draw all my own templates from scans and scratch. Problem is that my scanner bed is not as wide as the gaskets, so I have to scan twice and overlay the images as best I can. My worry is that this will cause very slight alignment errors that would potentially affect performance.

Anyway, I spent about an hour tracing out a B18 intake manifold gasket to illustrate what I was looking for . Theoretically, if I could find a cache of templates for gaskets, I could be cutting hundreds of them a day, overnight.

I'm in the process of painting my Prelude right now, so I'll be sure to upload pics when it's done. Just ordered up 2 new 205.50/R15 Kumho's for the race season, too!

I'm laser engraving my new intake manifold with Cermark spray before it goes on. Think I'm going to attempt to engrave a cutaway design of an h22 engine/transmission on there. I'll post up some pictures of that too.

you know that 70mm tb is for ~330hp engines and its absolutely pointless with stock internals?

@TypeT. Aw you burst my little bubble of bliss! I found it on craigslist. Figured it couldn't hurt. So, you're saying that I should put a stock TB on my new custom intake manifold when I already have a port matched TB to go with it? Sounds like a waste of perfectly good race parts.

I'm planning to go turbo, with a full rebuild in a year or so, and I got the IM and TB in good condition for cheap, so I figured WTH, why pass it up when I'm gonna need that stuff soon anyway. Haven't put them on yet to see if it makes a difference, but with on board engine management, full exhaust, bigger injectors, etc, I think I can squeeze out a few extra ponies without doing a full rebuild just yet. We're working on paint right now, so this is on the back burner for a week or so.

First try, experimenting still. Used poster board to practice, and everything is nearly an exact match. Just some minor adjustments. Next I'll be working on TB gaskets and my H22 IM gasket.

stock 60mm tb is ok for around 240hp

Re: H22 Intake manifold gasket, and throttle body gasket .pdf outline / template

I attempted laser engraving the new intake manifold with Cermark spray, but it didn't adhere properly, and the logo washed off with the excess paint. At least I took a few snap shots before I washed it.

So, I'm just going to go buy a new intake manifold gasket, scan it at about 600 dpi, and trace the lines 'by hand' on the computer so I can cut as many of these gaskets as I need. I think I'm going to start selling them on ebay and attempt undercutting other ebay sellers' prices to see if I can turn a small profit.
