need some advise

I recently just moved into some condos downtown and am currently out of a garage. I park my car on the side of the road. It seems to be a safe neighborhood. However, my car had been broken into twice and just last night stolen. I got her back only because the idiot who stole the car didn't know how to drive a manual. idiot ended up getting the car hit. windows broken and my driver side front panel is all ****ed up, hood isn't aligned to now:/

I'm getting tired of dealing with this. I have a basic alarm system but it sucks @$$.

I have two options. Sell her or fork out 500$ for a good alarm system and pray it doesn't happen again.

Ooh, junk yard doesn't have anymore windows for my 89 so if anyone has a driver door window and driver side panel message me. In dire need of one

Re: need some advise

there is a junk yard near me with a 3rd gen in it. i know it had drivers door window, not sure about panel, dont know which panel your talking about. its like $2 to get into junk yard.

the prelude is red, and seemed to be in ok condition. i could give it to you for any of my costs and shipping if you want me to check on it.

That would be awesome. And the panel right above the front driver wheel.

Re: need some advise

shipping a fender and window could be expensive. i'll look into it, i agree to check car-parts.com, but i personally have not had any luck with that website. the 3rd gens were the most sold in the US, so there should be at least one or 2 in a junk yard next to you

There are two in the junk yard in town here however I have already taken all the windows out and used them.

Re: need some advise

There's two 88's, three 89's and a 1991 in the U-Pull and Pay here. They have probably been there awhile but it seems every time I pass them, they seem in pretty decent shape.

If you don't find what you're looking for locally, let me know. All I ask for in return is $5 for the gas to get there and admission, and shipping costs. I can even text you pics while I'm there to make sure it's what you're looking for.

I'm sure there's nothing rare or cool on them but if anything else is needed, let me know.

Re: need some advise

Lemme know what you like. I took other pics, but the fenders were knocked in a little or dented, and some of the windows were scratched. So I omitted those;

Re: need some advise

Viper alarm 350hv is a great low budget alarm. I used to install these all the time, and they work great. As long the brain is hidden well, the anti-theft system is great. Which is true for any alarm system.
$199.99 installed from bestbuy
