Ginding gears

My 5th gen is grinding gears when I ****, and usually won't go into 1st. I sometimes have to rev match go get it into gear or else force it in. Had my clutch replaced last spring, gonna go check the fluid and linkage now. Any thoughts? Hope it's.not my synchros

Re: Ginding gears

I knew there was enough fluid cause I just had my clutch replaced last spring and haven't driven much since and it doesn't leak, I'm just draining it and replacing.

Re: Ginding gears

Grinds while trying to ****? pepto bismol can fix that.

After you're done with the clutch resevoir, top off the gear box with syncromesh, just to be on the safe side.

Re: Ginding gears

Not to thread jack but just wondering but who makes syncromesh and can it be used just for preventative measures even if your tranny is healthy? If it's not going into great don't force it you might damage it and make things worse. Try taking it into other grears while the car is off

I agree with this, but if topping off your clutch fluid reservoir doesn't help, I would change the trans fluid. Use Honda/Acura MTF as well as Syncromesh. I know Syncromesh has cured a LOT of peoples grinding issues, including mine on my last car.

Re: Ginding gears

Ok i know you all were fretting because My car and I are just so important to you all.. So to calm ya'll down im not selling it. This is the deal i fixed almost all issues with it today, it has been very productive. Got my cooling fans working, fixed the 4WS, and got my step bro (mechanic) just moved back from Florida, to take a look at the gears, it wasnt the syncro... he did something idk what, but now it shifts like a dream once again.
