Type S question

Ok so my 2001 base with manual trans is about to die. I am about to buy a type S motor that comes with trans and everything. Will this work ina base model since it comes with the trans already? I heard that the type s motor will not work with base trans but since it comes already with the trans will it work in a base model or is there other reasons it only works with the sh?

Re: Type S question

will it fit? yes... your ATTS will not work so it is essentially dead weight

theres some wiring to do if you buy it. its accords engine

make sure it has everything you need: ecus etc

I always recommend that REBUILD that engine what youre getting. in that way there comes no surprises along the road. new all the gaskets/seals, bearings, timing belt-things, clutch, tranny rebuild and so on... then you have almost whole NEW engine!

Hey do you have an edm euro-r/type-r ecu for sale if so how much, and do you have any pics of it, or the ecu code or model example being 37820-PDE...?

Re: Type S question

thank you sir for the welcoming I did happen to write you back on preludeonline just a minute ago, I think I found another ecu if member h23a1ftw doesn't have what I need. Another issue I didn't think of is wont I have to re-flash a edm ecu since they do carry immobilizers like our USDM computers?
